During our stay at the Fulton Steamboat Inn, we ate at Huckleberry's twice. We celebrated our anniversary with dinner there after we had checked in. The service was good and for the most part the food was also good. Just a couple od disappointments. My husband ordered the Shrimp appetizer which was advertised as being spicy and we found it to be very bland. There was no discernible spicieness to it at all. His Filet Mignon and Crab Cake entree was a good portion but the mushroom sauce had little flavor and did nothing to enhance the filet. My Delmonico Steak with a bourbon sauce, on the other hand, was full of flavor. Both our steaks were perfectly cooked. Our waitress was good but did not appear to be overly familiar with some of the menu items. The hostess was the one who suggested the Bread pudding for dessert. It was beyond delicious. While we ordered it to go because we were full from dinner, we found we had to eat it much faster than we had planned to because the dollops of whipped cream wee melting frm the heat of the pudding and the caramel sauce. Would we order it again? Absolutely!! Breakfast, the morning we left was good and plentiful. We both ordered the omelets. They were done well, however, mine was missing the bacon and my husband's was missing the tomato. We chalked it up to the fact that ther were several noisy children inthe restaurant making it difficult for the waitress to hear our order.
