“Hit and Miss”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

Good Italian food is tough to find in Lancaster. There are many options but very few nail it with authenticity. Our last visit to Ciro's was a hit and miss. Sauces are excellent, flavorful without being overwhelming. Pastas were done just right. The personal pizza was crisp without being cooked to death. The gelato is phenomenal. My low score here is due specifically to the veal cutlet used for the veal parm. It was tough, overdone, too much breading and just a bad piece of meat. I know the realities of working with veal -- I'd suggest serving a smaller portion and getting it fresh from a good source instead of a frozen Sysco box. We'll give it another shot - and see what we like.

“Mmmm.....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

We took our Mom out for her graduation and all of us loved our food. We had eggplant rollatini, ravioli and shrimp, penne a la vodka and spaghetti. We also had the homemade gelato and it was delicious. The bread was out of this world and the caesar salad was the best I have ever had, though I wonder why they used box croutons and not their own since their bread was soooo good. We will definitely be back when we are in town again!!

“A nice change”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014 via mobile

When in Lancaster one thinks good olde farm meals. While visiting we looked for something different and came across Ciro' s and decided to visit. Nice location and busy giving one the impression that must be good. We sat at a table and hand the opportunity to watch the chef's prepare meals. The woodfire pizzas looked outstanding. We had Chicken Piccatta and chicken Alfredo as our entrees and enjoyed each. Then came the decision of what flavor of gelatin to get and decided on the butterfinger - wow! Will plan on going back and sampling more of the menu when in town.

“Something for everyone”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

We had a really good experience here on a Tuesday evening in late May . The menu is extensive and offers everything from entrees like osso buco and veal piccata to pasta dishes, panini, dinner salads and pizza. Our party of four chose two osso buco one veal piccata and one ahi tuna dinner salad. We were all happy with the quality of food and service. The servings were huge and we received our meals in a timely fashion even though the place was packed . I do suggest reservations. There is a gelato bar at the rear of the restaurant with some interesting and delicious flavors. The cappuccino is served with two tiny delicious biscotti that I could have eaten a dozen of, even though I was quite full from my huge salad. We all enjoyed everything including the martini' and wine selection. The prices are fair and we will go back again, but next time, I will skip lunch on the day that we go there for dinner.

Nice location. Great decor. Great wait staff. Varied menu. Food was very good and nicely portioned. Gelatin bar is very very nice. Nice that it's not loud. Good place to talk with friends.
