We saw, we stayed one night, curiosity quenched. Staff seemed like they had to squeeze out a salutation, the welcome mat was not there for us. The hotel had exposed beams, bricks and mortar, my husband loved it!!! The rooms were spacious and had a flat screen television that was a BIG waste. The cable did not work almost our entire stay and the picture was dark. Nothing fancy smancy about this overpriced hotel!!! Heat is loss because windows were not put in correctly. Would could feel cold air coming inside.

We could hear conversations upstairs and from the room next to ours. We were awaken several times during the night and early morning. The exercise room is moderate at best but clean with plenty of towels if needed. Breakfast: Sliced fruit, yogurt, and assortment of pastries sliced boiled eggs, juice, tea and coffee. The hot water tasted as though coffee had been in the carafe at some point. My tea was terrible, I had to toss it.

Would I stay again? Probably not. For the price it lacked amenities. Small refrig, NO microwave. In my opinion a full breakfast would have sufficed, fruit, warm cookies and/or managers reception.

Room Tip: Downtown Lancaster. The entire factory consists of many buildings so look keenly for hotel or you...

My daughter and I stayed here one night while visiting Franklin and Marshall. We've loved the converted factory setting. Our room was spacious with very high wood-beam ceilings and exposed brick. The sound proofing is terrible though. We were woken up at 12:30 am by the people in the room upstairs. We called the front desk and told them they needed to tell them to settle down which they did. We were woken up again by them at 6:30 am and I realized that they weren't being particularly loud there was just little soundproofing. Our room also faced the parking lot and we could hear cars starting their engines in the morning. I guess request a room on the top floor on the inside of the hotel.

This hotel is unlike any other. An old cork factory renovated, it is on the national historic register and well worth a visit, especially if you appreciate revitalized, century-old industrial architecture. We stayed on the 4th floor and it was very quiet. The ceiling was vaulted with exposed rough cut beams and brick walls. The bathroom was all tile with a granite vanity. It appeared to be excellently run and managed for an independent facility. It is close to downtown Lancaster. It was a pleasant surprise and we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: 4th floor was very quiet, but elevator is a little slow if you are looking to get in and out quickly...

We found this place by looking for something different and that we found indeed !
In an old cork factory someone with excellent taste built in a nice and special hotel without it being overdecorated or too plain.
we had a two bed bedroom on the ground floor and it was huge and the bed where a little high but very comfortable.
thae bathroom we had was just beautiful and it was a shame that we stayed ther only for one night.
the person at the reception desk was friendly and efficient which was exactly what we wanted.
breakfast was okay but if you are not into sugary breakfasts it might be not your first choice.
If you are looking for rose petal patterns on all furniture this is not your place to go but if you want something different with great style this is your place.

Very cool little complex. The hotel decor is very attractive...sometimes less is more, and the simplicity of the room decor was fantastic. Beds were very comfortable. We never heard any sounds from the hallway, or from other rooms. Loved the bathroom...nice tiled shower, very clean. Parking was available right out front, and there were also ample parking spaces on the back side of the building. Not quite a "boutique" hotel, but nice accommodations!

While I wouldn’t classify The Cork Factory Hotel as a luxury hotel, it’s exactly the type of property I seek out whenever I travel. The rooms are somewhat basic; but very comfortable, spacious and clean. My room had a separate bedroom in the corner with windows on two sides. I loved the rustic charm of it being an actual factory and the industrial feel of the rooms. Breakfast was included in the price and consisted of a great selection of fresh fruit, pastries and cereal.

My only complaint was the elevator. There appeared to be only one for the building and it was extremely slow. I often found myself taking the stairs (but that’s ok, I needed the exercise anyway).

The building is great and has been modernised sympathetically, with lots of interesting details. Breakfast was pretty good for continental, cereals, pastries, breads etc.
Our room was good the only issues were the lumpy scratchy pillows and paper cups for the coffee, if they were changed the hotel would merit 5 stars.
Staff were helpful and polite.
The pub opposite was great for food and atmosphere.
