This year's Thresherman's reunion was the biggest I've seen. They have a flea market with all sorts of interesting items, even if you are not interested in the engines and spare parts. The programs they hold throughout the day are fun and informative, and not just for those who like tractors and steam engines. I started going through the invitation of a friend, knew nothing of steam engines and the like, but have gone back several times. The atmosphere is family friendly and fun. Very laid back on their schedule things don't always start on time, but pretty close. Definitely a place for the whole family to try out something new.

If you fix your own car,If you keep cars and trucks til they rust apart. If you like knowing how motors and engines work; then this is your place to visit. This year I went 2 days. $7 per person entry fee is very fair. There are great deals on tools and flea market area. Many vendors are now some selling American made tools and products = Yeah. If you are looking for a good clean fun interesting day to learn about old steam engines, antique farm tractors, and equipment from over 100 years ago, then this is a must stop. Be sure to go during the Thresherman's Reunion

We visited Rough and Tumble during the Thresherman's Reunion weekend, what a great event.
The grounds are much bigger than anticipated and are full of interesting things at every turn. If it has gears, an engine and does some sort of work you will find it here. The best part is that the vast majority of the items on display still operate and many are in operation throughout the day. Cars, steam shovels, graders, stationary engines, generators, water pumps anything you could think of, it is probably here somewhere. There are two steam trains to ride and several places to grab a bite to eat. Admission and food prices are reasonable. Gearheads will love this place, there are also enough other displays to keep non gearheads entertained as well. This is a worthwhile addition to any trip to Lancaster County PA, plan on spending at least 2-3 hours (we spent all day). This is on my short list for a re-visit!

We found this by accident while riding around enjoying the scenery. We love all farm stuff and have lots of John Deere Tractors, so this was right up my husbands alley. It was like a outside show and tell with all kinds of old machinery as well as rows and rows of items for sale, like flea market atmosphere. There were Amish people there selling baked goods and homemade items. We had a great time and will make this a stop when we go back next year. There were train rides around the grounds, sawmill exhibits with them actually cutting planks from trees. If you like farm things or steam engines this is a great time.
