“Great place, great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2011

My husband and I just returned from a two night stay at the Courtyard. The minute we walked in through the doors we were greeted by friendly, smiling faces. The room was clean, comfortably cooled and everyone from the front desk to the servers at the breakfast buffet could not have been nicer. There wasn't one single employee that didn't greet us or didn't have a smile for us. It was such a nice experience that we would go back in a heartbeat. The location was perfect as well. It is close to everything...outlets, parks, Music Theater, restaurants...it's all within a few miles from the hotel. We loved the walking trails and the park. No complaints and highly recommend.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights to visit Dutch Wonderland and Hershey Park with our toddler. We booked a 1 bedroom king suite and requested a pack 'n play in the room and early checkin. I called the day of to check on the requests. They said the crib would be there but no guarentee on the early checkin. We showed up around 1:30 and our room was ready when we needed it. We got in the room and the crib was all setup and room was very clean. If you have a toddler who needs to nap or go to bed early, pay extra to get the suite. You can have her sleep in one room and close the door so you can read a book, check email or watch TV.

We ate at the buffet for breakfast each morning cause it was less of a hassle with a small child in tow. The breakfast buffet was $11/head and not too bad. Pretty good selection of various things. It was basically the same menu every day so you could get bored with it if you stayed at the hotel for more than a few days. We were there over a weekend and the place got pretty busy with families at breakfast but we only had to wait a few minutes for a table.

The staff were friendly and helpful and never had any issues. Would definately stay here again when we come back for a DutchWonderland visit. DW is around 10 mins away. It is really nice that this is off the main drag so you avoid some of the traffic/noise of main drag that DW is on. It was pretty easy to get to Hershey Park from here (probably 30-45 mins depending on traffic in Hershey). Good central location for both parks.

Room Tip: if you have toddler, get a 1 bedroom suite

We stayed at this hotel during a family trip to Hershey, PA and Lancaster area. Upon checking in, there had been a mistake ( through no fault of the hotel) with the reservation. We booked our room through Priceline, and instead of giving us the king suite we reserved, we got the regular king room. This wasn't going to work for us, being two adults and 3 children. The front desk clerk was so helpful and apologetic for the mix up. Although, no fault of the hotel, she ended up giving us a comped separate king room for the kids directly across from our room. ( The kids are 10, 12 and 12.) They loved it and we got our privacy ! And, Marriott got very happy patrons that would likely stay again if in the area !

Room Tip: If you are traveling with kids and still want a king and your privacy, consider the king suite with...

The hotel was very clean, and the staff very hospitable. They went out of their way to accommodate us. The buffett breakfast they serve everyday was great. I needed info to go to church, and they looked it up. They all seemed so eager to please that I felt I was in a very good place.

We visited for a family function. All but one of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The manager immediately attended to the issue involving the one issue we had.

I will agree with the reviews below as this is a relatively new hotel but we found the beds to be quite uncomfortable. We did not hear a peep from another room. I also prefer they not use a water soften in the showers.

Breakfast was quite good for a buffet of this caliber hotel. They handled the crowds well.

The hotel is right off the freeway but in the middle of no where. The downtown Lancaster might be a more fun, convenient location but I am sure it would be noisier.

All in all, a good stay at a good value for our group rate.

We stay in a lot of Marriott's and usually stay at the Fairfield Inn in Lancaster because it is closer to my family. This trip we stayed at the Courtyard because we were going to do the tourist/family things like Dutch Wonderland and the Strasburg Railroad so this hotel would be closer. I would definitely stay here again. We stayed July 14-16, and even though it was a full house the room was very quiet, unlike the Fairfield Inn in Granite Run. The service was good and the accomodations were very nice. At breakfast one morning another customer gave my husband and I a complimentary breakfast voucher, and when I gave it to the waitress she said that we should have two. When I said we were never given any she comped both of our breakfasts! Great service all around, nice accomodations. The only complaint is that my iPad didn't sync well with the wifi for some reason, but other than that it was a great stay.

I stayed at this hotel July 15-16 2011. It was for a soccer tournament. I enjoyed my stay. The beds were comfortable and the staff nice. I didn't partake in the breakfast because we had to be up and out early for games. The pool is nice. It is indoors, but they have a nice deck outside to sit and enjoy.
I liked that you received a newspaper everyday, even on Sunday. Most places don't offer that.
The hotel was full the weekend we were there but you would never know it. The staff did a wonderful job.
