I concur with most all 5 stars-- well appointed, friendly staff, beautiful room, a nice host of amenities, interesting architecture and good location. Just down the road ( as in short walking distance) from F&M, Iron Hill Pub and Brewery, local market and downtown Lancaster. If we would have stayed longer the Restaurant on site had an interesting menu. I highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast is included-- somewhat basic bagels, toast, coffee, fruit, cereal etc. but the person who worked the breakfast room was very attentive. Stay here!

A beautifully restored property, managed exceptionally well, with delightful staff (in every department from reception to restaurant to housekeeping), wonderful beds, a FIRST CLASS restaurant...what could be better?! Actually, breakfast could be better--a completely underwhelming experience--I was surprised given the high quality of the rest of the experience.

The hotel is quiet, but located very centrally. The rooms offer space to spread out and relax--and creativity is encouraged by the sketch pads located in each room--see your creations displayed around the hotel--fun!

The location, building and decor were all top notch. We loved our room. Very clean. They left bottles of water on the bed stands each night - very much appreciated! They left a rose and chocolates on the bed each night. The bathroom was nice, with a large shower, nice toiletries, blow dryer, etc. I liked that they included a make-up removal toilette. The historical touches of the building and the artsy decor made it beautifully unique. Includes free parking and free wifi.

The hotel is walking distance of numerous great restaurants, which is awesome fun.

A complimentary breakfast is included, which offers nice flexible hours - it was available from around 7 to 10:30 am. And unlike some hotels with breakfast, there were generally tables available and it wasn't too crowded at the buffet. The breakfast was fine and appreciated, but not stellar. They certainly had enough to fill you, and a number of options, but most of it wasn't very high quality. I always hope for some sausage links and potatoes, since I can't eat eggs, but there was nothing like that. Regardless, I liked being able to eat there and get on my way.

Thanks to Lancaster Arts Hotel for a nice weekend visit!

The Lancaster Arts Hotel is a gem of a hotel with a bar and restaurant that is convenient to a number of other restaurants(don't miss the meeting nearby Iron Hill Brewery). The hotel lives up to it's "artsy" name with sketch pads in every room (and art in every room for sale) and lovely exposed brick and interesting furniture. It was well worth the stop as our jumping off point to explore Lancaster county and the Amish.

Architecturally compelling renovation of old factory. Well-appointed spacious suite. Interesting art throughout the hotel. Restaurant with excellent food and interesting wine list. Walking distance to Franklin & Marshall. Would definitely return if in the vicinity.
