“Great hotel - unique and clean!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2010

This was the second time my husband and I stayed at this hotel. This time we brought friends and they also enjoyed their stay. Great location! Clean! Very accomodating!! Something different to see in every room - very unique!!

Room was perfect. Original wood floors and brick accent wall. Bathroom was sleek and modern. Upscale bathroom amenities. Turkish bathrobes. Nightly turn-down service w/chocolates and a rose. The continental breakfast was incredible. Real china and silverware (no paper). Can't wait to return.

I really enjoyed my stay! The rooms are cozy and tasteful, and full of art! My girlfriend and I enjoyed touring through the different floors, and the lobby is great too! There is also a nice restaurant right off the lobby, and a small gallery too. The only minor issue that we noticed was that noise from the hallway and adjoining rooms was noticeable in the room. Overall though, we loved it and would definitely return!

A well thought out hotel within a short walking distance (remember walking?) to the heart of downtown. Great value as well for what you get. Love the bathrooms.

I had a three night business trip in October and decided not to stay at the conference host hotel, the Marriott, once I read the reviews here and checked out the website for these reasons: Lower room rates, free parking, expanded continental breakfast and an onsite restaurant with organic and local produce, meats and cheese. I was not disappointed!

To begin, the hotel really is an art studio that happens to have a restaurant and rooms...it is so enjoyable to walk through the charming lobby and the hallways. Next, the front desk staff are lovely, helpful and accomodating. Then there is the room - a well appointed room tastefully decorated with original art, a nice leather chair with suede throw and ottoman, a large desk, an LCD TV, comfy bed and bice bath with large walkin shower. The continental breakfast was really very nice - fresh fruit salad, pancakes and waffles with choice of toppings, breads/muffins/pastries, cereal, yogurt and nice selection of juices, teas and coffee. I had two dinners in the restaurant, and it was excellent! The salads were especially wonderful, and the service was very good. Oh, and they have the most delicious chocalates...it made the turn-down service invaluable!

On one side of the hotel is a building that houses a few additional restaurants there that will even provide room service, and I while i didn't have their food, it was a nice option.

Finally, and this is what made me want to write a review: I was tired the morning I was checking out, racing off to my last day of meetings and running late and I did something I'd never done before - I forgot something in the room. Not just a t-shirt, or a book, but my laptop. I called at 1 AM when I got home and they indeed had it and sent it out the next day. I am soooo grateful!! I've told everyone how wonderful the hotel is and I would return in a heartbeat if I ever need to return to the Lancaster area.

We visited Lancaster after quite a few years of having been away and were so pleased with not only the Lancaster Arts Hotel, but with the new energy that the city has embraced. The hotel was perfect in every way... decorated extremely tastefully, friendly, convenient, super clean and with every amenity thought out before our arrival. The free parking, expanded continental breakfast, bottled water at the bedside, red rose on the pillow and free WiFi were extra nice touches. We would not think of staying anywhere else.

Stayed here for a convention in Lancaster. The room was a little dusty and the checkin staff on Sunday afternoon wasn't the most helpful bunch, but things got better. Especially liked the complimentary cab service--it saved us a lot of money in parking fees, and it was convienient and reliable. Not your typical hotel in that each room is different, and faithful to the historical qualities of the hotel. The weekday staff, including the breakfast bar manager and the cleaning ladies, were friendly, helpful and fun.
