What a beautiful property! The house is wonderful and so are the Inn Keepers, Janis & Ann (and can't forget about Sampson!). Stayed for a belated anniversary getaway in the Majestic Chambre and Janis and Ann helped make the weekend extra special. We were able to schedule a romantic dinner for 2 with wine pairings, a rose petal bath, a couple massage and both mornings, right in our room, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. It was a perfect weekend! Highly Recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here very much--attentive hospitality without being intrusive, comfortable room and bed, lots of nice touches (off-street parking, plenty of hot water with good pressure, extra blanket in the armoire). My most memorable and favorite thing was to wake up to the smell of the delicious breakfast in the morning. We were treated to a Spanish omelette one morning and pecan/sweet potato pancakes the next (not to mention a course of fresh fruit each morning along with side dishes of potatoes and bacon/sausage), truly delicious, and lots of coffee! We did need to drive to get into town although we're walkers and walked the 1.7 miles into the center of town for dinner and back and enjoyed it. We went in the other direction for the sight & sound theater, which was a drive. Even though the rooms seem close together, once our door was shut, we didn't hear anything outside our room--very quiet which made for good sleeping.

Room Tip: Queen room was in the corner and had lots of windows and light, a great choice.

Our B&B host Ann was extremely helpful with suggestions on where to go for viewing the covered bridges with maps and directions, several great restaurants for meals and some of the best tourist attractions. Being a highly ranked B&B, she lived up to that reputation with superb and delicious breakfasts that we thoroughly enjoyed. We are looking forward to a return trip in the near future.

Room Tip: The Princess room was fantastic and includes an overlooking balcony and a large whirlpool tub.

My wife and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary. We decided to spend the weekend seeing the wonderful state of Pennsylvania. This was our third night out.
Ann was a wonderful host, She was so helpful and a wealth of knowledge, especially since she relocated fro the South only 12 years ago. She made sure we had every direction we needed, info on all activities, dinner, even a review of the restaurants... She was always there to give her support and information..
Lancaster is a very interesting place. The Farm lands of the Amish country are so vast. It is wonderful to see that the Amish stay within their belief's and still get it all done!! Amazing to see how they decided to not go with the way of the industrial revolution, and stay true to their ancestors and keep the traditions of their past alive today. We went downtown, first off seeing the Jail in the center is interesting. The old row homes have unfortunately seemed to move to the low income level and have turned a once booming city into a low level city.. but that area is small, and although close to the Inn, it was a bit disconcerting at first,.
We stayed away and spent the remaining time in Intercourse and Bird in Hand... Very nice shops, a bit of a tourist trap though.. Bus loads of people in a country market area, that you would think had all local products, but when you look closely, it was mostly just tourist trap gifts stores.. there was a bakery and even local ice cream.. The best part of the area, was that, the land...

Room Tip: We were in the Majestic Chamber.. Very nice, As Ann described the history behind the room, being it...

Thanks for celebrating your 25th Anniversary with us. We are glad you enjoyed exploring the farmland. We look for gift shops that have original items from Lancaster County. On your next visit let us show you where some of those shops are in the county. Thanks for sharing your comments with others. Ann

A girls' weekend getaway was made very memorable by this awesome inn. The cottage is beautiful, especially because it's so unique (for example, our bathroom had an antique cast iron, claw-footed tub). Ann and Janis are extremely hospitable and are enthusiastic about helping with every aspect of your stay, eager to give you coupons and lend you tips about where you're spending the day. The breakfasts consist of local and homemade ingredients and are fantastic. I have nothing but positive things to say about this trip - I'd recommend it, absolutely. (And I'll be back for sure).

Room Tip: The Duke Room was great for our girls' weekend because it could be converted into two twin beds.

Having never been to the area before, we didn't know what would lie ahead for our first time visit. Having been to other Inns in the select registry, and knowing that each one offered their own quaint and very pleasing atmospheres. Our stay at The King's Cottage was no exception. It was tremendous. Ann & Janis are tops in their field in treating guests as though each one is like family. Our stay in the Contessa Room was great. With it's own private entrance with a private porch for enjoying the serenity of the setting - off the beaten path, but still close to all of the many attractions and fine restaurants in the area. Janis and Ann go out of their way to provide precise directions, and even coupons where available, to a seemingly endless array of places to go and things to do. If we ever have an opportunity to visit the area again, we will definitely stay at the King's Cottage. We would also recommend it to anyone that wishes to visit the area. Joan & Doug

Room Tip: If you like the privacy of your own entrance, and yet have the community with other guests in the ma...
