We stopped by at University Grille for a dinner after visiting Sesame place (around 8:15 pm). 4 adults and 8 kids (2 families). Just a few other tables were occupied so the restaurant was not busy at all. What went wrong: you know how they give the activity sheets for the kids to draw, solve, etc. Well, it took about 15 mins and about 5 requests till the waitress finally brought 4 loose crayons and said that was all she could find. Ordered 3 portions of pasta with meatballs for older kids from the kids menue. The meatballs were served semi-frozen inside. Got re-heated after we asked. My brother-in-law’s fingerling potatoes weren’t completely cooked (raw inside). The service was VERY SLOW. Another couple in the dining room, also with kids, waited for their soup and salad for more than 30 mins. We’ve spent around 90 min in the restaurant with most of that time waiting for the food to come (we didn’t even order filet mignon because our waitress told us it will take more time to prepare than other entries). The waitress was very helpful, polite and understanding. I guess that’s the kitchen that was completely screwed up, at least on that day. What went right: the beer was cold.
