“Close to Sesame and clean.”

This hotel gets a ton of use by young families but had everything we needed and we are very snobby travelers that pay extra fo amenities. We would recommend this property.

I stayed at this hotel with my family on a recent visit to Sesame Place. The stay was so eventful, I actually took a few weeks to think about this review before writing it.

The rooms are comfortable, with cozy beds and excellent sound insulation. The temperature control worked well, although air conditioners were the loud wall units. The hotel is clean, and room cleaning was excellent. In general, service was friendly and professional, with all our needs met almost immediately. The lobby is nicely renovated, with a Starbucks, kitchen, computers and comfortable lounge. The breakfast buffet was quite nice, although could have used more fruit/healthy choices. It's also worth noting that the mini-store in the hotel lobby has reasonably priced (!!) food, drinks, alcohol and amenities.

The eventfulness of our visit was twofold. First, our floor had a problem with someone smoking cigarettes in their room. The hall smelled of smoke during two of our four nights. However, hotel management was very responsive, and toured the hall to try and figure out who was smoking. They promised to fine the person when they checked out and the source of the smoke could be identified. The second major event during our stay was Hurricane Irene. Although the Langhorne area was not hard hit, there were two tornado warnings on the night of the hurricane. The alarms went off around midnight, and all visitors were asked to descend to the main floor, waiting in two meeting rooms. Although this was obviously inconvenient for guests with small children, the hotel workers were professional and apologetic, and they certainly seemed most concerned about the safety of their guests. There certainly was a right way and wrong way to handle a bad situation, and the hotel handled it in the best way possible.

The hotel is an excellent option for anyone staying in Langhorne, particularly for a visit to Sesame Place. I would certainly go back!

Dear Funkyman3,
Wow! I very much appreciate your great review and details of your stay and will be sure to share with our team today! Guest feedback is such a critical part of our daily process and it is so reassuring to hear your perspective of that weekend.
We do take the safety and security of our guests very seriously and train our staff to handle almost all situations. Tornado warnings in Langhorne, PA are extremely rare and it is never easy to evacuate a hotel full of sleeping families to our designated shelter areas so late at night. Thank you for being so understanding.
All Marriotts are smoke free and it is very frustrating when we have guests that smoke in rooms. There is a $250 smoke recovery fee that should be a huge deterrent to guests. Unfortunately, it does happen on occassion and we really try to identify source and deal with quickly.
Thank you again for your review. We hope to see you again next Sesame season.
Warm regards,
Lori Simpson

We just stayed here for 3 nights during our trip to Sesame Place. We had a 4th floor king suite that was perfect for our family. The room was clean and up to date. It had a separate sink area, microwave and fridge that was good. We were able to bring back food and drinks which is important with little ones. Nice counter with 2 sinks leading to the bathroom which was adequate. The only thing missing was a bathroom fan/vent. It was nice to be able to enjoy some alone time in our own bedroom. The maid was very attentive. We enjoyed the indoor pool one night before bed. The breakfast buffet decent. The kids were able to ask for a certain cereal which they had and we requested bananas that were given to us. The day we left we were able to get food and drinks to go from the bistro which was perfect. The front desk staff was always willing to answer questions. We had one issue with a loose light that was flickering on and off and some one was in our room within a half hour to fix it. Great stay! Would recommend. It is right down the road from Sesame Place and there is even a shuttle to there which saves you the parking fee. Thanks to the staff!

Dear tybreemommy,
Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us! We appreciate the feedback about the vent and light. Our goal is to correct any problems prior to a guest arriving but sometimes lightbulbs will start to flicker after our staff finishes the room.
We hope to see you again for your next trip to the area and thank you again for your recommendation.

Happy Labor Day weekend!

The decor inside and the front desk was nice. The woman at the front desk was also pleasant and helpful with the sheet of nearby restaurants. However, right behind the front desk, they must have placed their drinks, etc and it looked cluttered. It's highly visible from guests and I didn't particular like to see it.

The lobby is spacious with chairs, couches and giant tv .....which was on Nickelodeon at all times LOL I would recommend this hotel for families staying to go to Sesame Place, but not for business stay. Lots of kids running around, crying babies.

Our room was..okay. The air was off when we got to the room and I felt it smelled a bit musty. Also, the mini-refrigerator was working, but not great.

We slept great the two nights we stayed and housekeeping did a good job keeping the place clean.

The shuttle runs every half hour to/from Sesame Place - The shuttle drivers were very friendly and helpful. James was especially helpful in locating dinner places, cheapest gas, lunch spot in walking distance from Sesame Place. The other drivers were also nice.

With our AAA rate, we didn't get breakfast.

Dear NY GreenTea,
Thank you for sharing your feedback about your stay. I am so happy that you had a great service experience and will defintely pass on your compliments to James and the rest of the team.
Sometimes we need reminders from a guest perspective about the way things are seen and your comment about the side of the desk was very helpful.
We like to consider ourselves a business location as well andmost business travelers are earlier risers and come in later in the day and miss most of the peak time in lobby with small children.
Thank you for your feedback!
Warm regards,
Lori Simpson

We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia Langhorne at the end of July 2011 for 2 nights. We chose this hotel because the main purpose of our trip was to go to Sesame Place which is 1/2 or 1/4 miles away. Also, we are Marriott reward member so we get discount for booking with Marriott.

The hotel lobby was nice, new, clean and spacious. Front desk person who checked us in was friendly. Room was nice, big enough for a family of 3. Bed was ok comfy, did not really like the pillows as my head sank in too much when I slept.

Though lots of family stayed at this hotel, we did not feel noisy.

When we arrive other Marriotts in the past, we normally would be offered cookies or snack as soon as we arrived. Not sure if this location does not provide the same kind of "treat". Also, 99% of our past stay of Marriott, the breakfast would have been included. However, this time, it was not included as part of our stay. We ended up ate at the park both days.

Even though this hotel does provide free shuttle to Sesame Place, we opted to get VIP parking because we brought a big cooler with us that was filled with drinks and ice. We were able to go back to our car a few times during the day (very hot days) to get drinks and take a rest. If I don't rememeber wrong, the shuttle runs every half an hour or so, not as frequent as we wanted.

Overall, it was a nice stay!! We were able to stay close to Sesame Place and in a nice and safe tourist area. Too bad the perks (i.e. free breakfast and snacks upon arrival) were not included.

We will likely return to this hotel again when we visit Sesame Place in the future!!

Dear DDDoggy,
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments about your stay. We are gald that you enjoyed your time here and trip to Sesame. I appreciate the feedback about cookies and breakfast. There are many brands within the Marriott family that do include breakfast in the price of the room. Courtyards operate the Bistro and are designed to have many options for our guests but none are complimentary. We do feature packages that include breakfast with the room "Stay for Breakfast" and our Sesame packages also offer that option for our guests that want to have an all inclusive price when planning their trip.
We hope that you will come back and visit us when in the Langhorne area again. Thank you!

We've stayed here twice while visiting sesame place and the staff have always been extremely helpful and nice. The back of the property has a gazebo and a small lawn which allowed the children to play, while the parents took a rest.

We stayed here for 3 nights and our stay was fantastic. We had the best time ever!!! We had one king size bed &a sofa in the room. I have a set of twins that are 2 years old & they had the best time. We did get breakfast included with our stay & it was wonderful. They have bacon, eggs, pancakes & yummy little potatoes, muffins, toast, fruit salad & all different types of cereals. All you really need to do is ask & they are very accomodating. I even asked if I could fill up the childrens sippy cups before heading over to Sesame Place & they said of course. We all had comfortable bed, spacious rooms and the views were magnificent. The staff was always friendly and ready to assist. The "free"shuttle service to Sesame Place was very nice, considering the parking fee at Sesame was $18.00. Hotel is located near several restaurants, a couple of shopping malls and with Sesame Place just across the street, the hotel location was perfect! The room was very clean & the pool was specatular as well. We are already looking into another stay possibly in August! This hotel hands down was the best. We were in room 419, right by the elevator & it wasn't noisy at all. Any questions just ask away!
