“Great Staff, Great Hotel”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

We stayed here for 1 night June 12 to June 13 with our almost 2 year old daughter to visit sesame place. The staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating. We arrived very early on a very cool and rainy day (for june) expecting to be allowed to park and walk over to Sesame place to save on the $17 parking fee. When we arrived and went in to make sure we were ok to park there, we were actually able to do an early check in (very early) since our room was ready. It worked out great. We were able to wait out the rain and get changed and unpacked before we went over to the park. The room was on the ground floor, which is where the pool is. There is also an exterior entrance on the ground floor which leads to a sitting area with a fire pit. Very nice!!! We took advantage of the pool, it was small, but warm. There were about 5 families in there and it wasn't over crowded. The playroom is full of toddler age toys and a big flat screen tv. We played in there for about an hour after dinner on Wednesday night. Breakfast in the morning was good, with a make your own waffles, some scrambled eggs, ham and the usual continental breakfast fare. We enjoyed it. Check in and check out were easy. Our room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I went up to the little store at the front desk for Milk at 8 pm for my daughter and they didn't have any to sell, the person at the desk went and got me a cup from the kitchen. We walked across the street to Margarita's for dinner, so we didn't have to drive anywhere, which was also a plus. We would definitely stay here again, not sure Sesame place is on our list of places to return to. That is a whole different review, staff was not friendly, the eating areas were not very clean and the park itself is very small.

This hotel is very nice and the staff is very friendly and accommodating as well as the GM who gave us some great idea for things to do when games were cancelled first day of a tourney. Cleanliness is excellent!!! Hotel is newer and in a nice location way from the city. Will definitely be back!!

We picked this hotel because it's minutes from sesame place and offered free breakfast. Booked a King suite. Room was nice, clean, and staff was friendly. Two issues- the ground floor doesn't have signs pointing the way to the rooms, so if you turn right when you get off the elevators you'll walk past service rooms. Second, the bathroom design isn't functional for traveling with children. The door is a sliding door with no lock, so privacy is not possible when using the toilet or showering, unless your children are excellent rule followers and don't open the door. The sink is very small and placed oddly above the main counter, and the King rooms do not have a tub/shower combo. Obviously it's too new to remodel bathrooms now, but something to take into account down the line. It would also be helpful for the hotel to put a note on their website that King rooms don't come with a tub (queen rooms do, apparently). Overall, I would absolutely stay at this hotel again because of the convenience, cleanliness, and friendliness we experienced.

A wonderful place to stay with family. My husband and I love traveling with our sons, daughter-in laws and grandkids (ages 2, 3 and 4). You can't beat this hotel for staff, service, cleanliness and family friendliness. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are nice size, with plenty of room for the kids to run around, with a desk area, fridge, and a sitting room with a couch, including chaise. Modern furnishings are comfortable and inviting. Everything was immaculate. Free breakfast was great - with everything a family could want - from make your own waffles, eggs, all minds of breads, yogurt, fresh fruit and juices. The kids enjoyed the playroom - although wish it was open before 10:00 am so the kids could play after breakfast before the Sesame Place opens. The hotel is across the street from the entrance to Sesame Place, which not only is convenient, but saves the parking fee at the park. If you can get a room at this hotel - grab it!

We stayed two nights at the Springhill Suites in early June, primarily for a trip to Sesame Place. When arriving at the hotel, there is no doubt it is close to Sesame Place as you can see the entrance from the hotel. The valet parking is awesome. The attendents are extremely friendly and with a quick text your car is up front waiting for you if you need to leave. The lobby is welcoming and leads you directly to the kids playroom. I agree it would be nice if it was open before 10am, but it wasn't a problem for us. We stayed in a room just off the lobby, and it was a great location. The room was large with very modern lighting and amenities. We were impressed by the bathrooms and the seating area (even the blinds were a little better then in most hotels). I'll note the walls are a little thin and you can hear in the next room. I would avoid Room 102, as it is right next to the play area and I can just see that being unpleasant. The indoor pool is very small, but was like bath water so extremely comfortable. Outside the hotel was a small seating area and firepit, very very welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was a step above many continental breakfasts with some hot items. Access to Sesame Place was awesome. A quick walk from the hotel and convenient to go back for an early afternoon nap for my son (plus we saved $17 on parking). With everything considered, this was by far one of the better hotels I have stayed at recently and would STRONGLY recommend it to anyone visiting Sesame Place.

My wonderful stay started with the greeting of the valet , one in particular . The valet Charlotte immediately greeted us with a smile from cheek to cheek , my kids loved her ... They always wanted to go tell her what we had just done weather it be dinner or even swimming in the pool !

The front desk people were so kind and helpful even when I came down from my room with what seemed to be the devils children screaming !

I recommend this place to all !

My husband and I just stayed there with our three children ages 1,2, 4. Staff was friendly and helpful! great hotel for families with young children including a playroom. although I wished the playroom opened earlier than 10am so kids could go there before heading to Sesame Place. Sesame Place only a walkway away from hotel and that was so great!!! the pool is rather small though. my 2 and 4 yr olds loved the endless supply of lollipops in the lobby!! hotel was clean
