I visited friends in Ligonier and took them to this Tavern for dinner and lunch the following day. We had dinner in the restaurant area and lunch at the bar. Both visits were quite pleasant, as the menu and food are above average. I had salmon for dinner and a great salad for lunch. The staff are friendly and accommodating. This is a very pretty place in the cute center of town; which is shaped in a square. It appears that the Tavern draws both tourists and locals.

I had the bib lettuce and lobster cobb salad. The lettuce must have been picked that day - it was incredible. Everything was really good, but the standouts were the lobster cobb salad and the chicken noodle soup.

I love the walnut chicken salad platter! The waitress was friendly and sitting out on the balcony is very relaxing!

Visiting family in area we decided to make a stop at the Ligonier Tavern. We have been to this lovely, picturesque town with its "Diamond" a few times but never dined at this establishment! We were seated at the front of the restaurant in a porch. We waited awhile for our server to appear and we ordered drinks and were told we would get them when there were clean glasses! That took about 15 minutes and then our order was taken! When they arrived our food was good I tried the Chicken Salad plate but was told they ran out of coleslaw! My husbands Turkey burger was good. I heard the waitresses say a few times to other diners they were out of this that and the other thing! It was a busy Saturday with beautiful weather but really if you want to be a first class establishment you should have all your supplies! Would not go again and probably should have walked out !

This little town (off the beaten trail) was awesome. We spent the day walking through the little shop-filled streets. It is a beautiful little quaint town and will definitely plan another visit. For lunch we decided to eat at the Ligonier Tavern. What a surprise - crown jewel for this little town. The menu had huge selection to choose from - the atmosphere was great, and the food was very good. LOVED THIS PLACE AND WILL VISIT AGAIN.
