The Alden House is a lovely B & B in the quaint town of Lititz in Lancaster County, Pa. All our needs were met with the beautiful room and delicious breakfast. The extras of local candy and pretzels made it even nicer. Our hosts John and Lynndell had thought of everything! I think all our questions were answered before we even thought to ask. We will definitely look forward to returning.

We stayed in the Lilac and Lace room for three nights and had a lovely time! While I attended a wedding in Lancaster, the rest of my family never left town! Our stay at the Alden house was wonderful. We are already talking about our next visit and we've only been home for three days!

We had an absolutely amazing trip to Lititz and our stay at Alden House really made the trip fantastic! John and Lyndell are truly kind, hospitable people and we loved their friendliness. Breakfast was always delicious, and the conversation over coffee was great! The Alden House is beautifully maintained and in an excellent location right on mainstreet. We frequented the Cafe Chocolate just a few doors down! The only downside is that things close very early (most places at 5pm, and 9pm at the latest), so you really need to plan your day well. We will definitely be back in Lititz and the Alden House!

My husband took me to the Alden House for a winter birthday weekend. The rooms are beautifully decorated and immaculate. The breakfasts and hospitality are exceptional. Every small detail is thought of, including having drinks and treats available all day. They are located on Main Street in the heart of the quaint small town of Lititz in Lancaster County, PA. All of the local stores are within walking distance and for nature lovers it is a short drive to either the PA Wolf Sanctuary or Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area. We would highly recommend planning a trip to Lititz and staying at this B&B. We hope to return in the spring.

My wife and I spent two wonderful days here.Checked in and then went out walking the downtown area.We happened to fall into "2nd Friday" where they keep the shops open until 8pm.There were 5 bands spread out along with wine tastings. They have 2nd fridays all year long.WE had to leave at 5am so Lynndell and John had coffee and a few home-made muffins ready for us.They were really nice folks. The breakfast we did have saturday morning was excellent. We'll be back again.

Our stay in the Alethea Suite was very pleasant. The suite is in the back, so it was away from the street noise and very quiet. The room was spacious and clean. The only rather odd thing was walking through the bathroom to get from the bedroom to the sitting room. Also the bed squeeked with every little turn and twist - a bit annoying. It was very nice to have our own outside entry in addition to the entry through the house. While the hosts are not on site, we found them to be easily available via telephone for questions or problems. And very friendly and gracious when we saw them each morning and at various times during the day. The location is great - within walking distance to shops, dining, Wilburs chocolate factory and the pretzel factory.

My sisters and I stayed three nights at the Alden House and we very much enjoyed our stay. We chose the Upstairs Parlour Suite due to the fact that it could easily sleep 3 adults (contains a loft with a daybed and trundle). Our accommodations were very comfortable. Guests should be aware that the bathroom is in the loft and is small (shower - no tub). Each of us had to remove our 'stuff' after using the bathroom but that wasn't a real problem.

Unlike previous posters, we had no problem with noise from the street. The innkeepers have provided a noise masking machine but we did not have the need to use it.

Others have also written about the innkeepers being overly absent from the property. We did not find this to be the case. Lynndell was present when we arrived and John and Lynndell were there during breakfast. We didn't have a pressing need for them otherwise.

We all enjoyed their daily breakfast, even though we couldn't partake of the dessert as freely as we would have liked. And, as usual, we enjoyed our chats with the other guests.

Another benefit is the location of The Alden House. They are right on the main street of Lititz and surrounded by historical attractions, shopping and dining (many within walking distance). It is a beautiful village and a great place to come back to after a day of site seeing.

If we return to Pennsylvania Dutch country, we will be returning to The Alden House.
