This is a very adequate hotel. Nothing fancy but clean and fabulous staff. Nice to have the larger room with separate bedroom. Kitchen is useful as well. Lots of parking and a small pool. While a bit old/tired, it's way fresher now that they've gone smoke-free

We've been staying in "cheap hotels" all summer (team sports travel) and this was the most expensive and worst one so far. The room was 100 degrees and smelled awful when we arrived! We were handed sheets for our pull out bed and told to make it ourselves (like a youth hostel!) The a/c was broken in our hallway and the carpets were stained and dirty. Our room was clean enough and it wasn't as though things were broken, scuffed and tattered. Our "kitchen" held nothing so bring your own everything if you plan to actually use it. Their "breakfast" was an offering of granola bars, muffins in plastic packaging, a bowl of apples and coffee from thermoses. I wouldn't mind any of this so much if they didn't charge $169 a night (!) and if all the other hotels in it's class weren't so much better.
It's only saving grace was a very nice manger named Nick - he came and sprayed some air-freshener on our curtains and carpet, which helped get us through our second night. He also brought some shampoo) they only put a bar of soap in the bathrooms. Thank you Nick, you deserve to work somewhere better :)

The hotel is fine but the reservation system is horrid, if you do book here get all you asked for in writing....include room type, floor choice and any other request as we did not and got none of the agreed things and the agent quit 1 week before we arrived

The Extended Stay America I stayed was on Morehall close to Swedesford Road, so hopefully it's the same hotel! My boyfriend and I stayed here on a Friday and Saturday this month. The room was clean, however it smelled like cooking food. I do not fault the hotel for this, but it's a good thing the windows opened and we had air freshener with us! The room was great, nicely furnished and painted. It would have been nice if the 'breakfast' would have been hot. But what stands out for me is the phenomenal staff. Geri, one of the desk associates, spent nearly 40 minutes trying to find things for us to do other than Valley Forge on the Internet. Unfortunately, it was late in the day on Saturday, so most activities were in Philly, which we didn't feel like driving to. Needless to say, Geri went above and beyond the call of duty that day and tried to make our stay in the area as memorable as possible. Go Geri!

Our room was on the 3rd floor, and as soon as you get off the elevator you are hit by the DISGUSTING smell of stale cigarettes, as the smoking rooms are in the hall directly off the elevator. Thankfully our room was down the hall and around the corner and we didn't smell anything in our room.

When we got in our room the windows were wide open, and the room was VERY cold. Apparently the windows are opening while the rooms are being cleaned and the staff must have forgotten to close them. Next, one of the burners what out of the stove, with the drip man missing. And lastly there was no toiletries in the bathroom. It's almost like they left (maybe to get the drip pan?) and forgot to come back. I hope they finished cleaning. The front desk was good about getting the drip pan for the stove, but we didn't plan on using it.

The bed was uncomfortable, I hate the vellux blankets (so gross!), so I barely slept at all.

Grab and go breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Room Tip: Away from the smoking rooms.

Travelling with a spouse and two kids (14 yo boy and 7 yo girl) is difficult enough and trying to find a hotel that allows for adequate sleeping arrangements is as well, let alone the cost of this. We had the room with 2 queen beds and a pullout and we could not have been happier with the layout of the room and the price we paid for a 3 night stay. The fact that the facility has an indoor pool is a big plus during unpredictable weather conditions. The location is good for wanting to visit Philly, Valley Forge or the King of Prussia Mall. We found the room itself to be very clean, plenty of towels and paper necessities and the staff was about as friendly as any hotel I have ever been in. You are never going to have "all the comforts of home" while staying at a hotel but this facility serves the purpose. Was able to have a decent cup of coffee every morning as well. I recommend this facility and when I travel back to the area, this is one of the places I will look in to staying. The surrondings are decent as well and for being near a highway, it was relatively quiet. I will say that if you are arriving via the overpriced PA Turnpike, the exit only allows for those with an EZPass to exit there, so be aware of that as well. And again... you will not find a more friendly hotel staff. They were knowledgeable of the local area for restaurants and such and if they didn't know, they were quick to find another staff member to help.

Room Tip: Get the room with 2 Q beds and the pullout if travelling with more than two people. One of the Q bed...

I'd have loved this hotel IF 1) I was in college or on a family vacation and 2) understood the brand a bit better before arriving and most of all 3) if it was clean. What caused me to give a poor rating was that it was fairly untidy- it was obvious a lot in the room wasn't clean- old coffee left in the pot, questionable spots in the bathroom, that sort of thing. It's amazing how a little of uncleanliness goes such a long way to poison a hotel experience.

Also, this was booked for a business trip. So long as my company is spending the money, I expect much more comfort. However, our CEO is frugal in the extreme. Us lowly workers aren't happy about it but can't do much about it. However forewarned is forearmed! read on...

The good- so long as it would be clean, the facility is great value. they do a great job of cutting out nice to haves such as shampoo and soap, big breakfasts and so forth and passing those savings on to the customer. It is truly spartan, but so is the cost. There's a full kitchen so for anyone who likes economy and can provide for oneself, this is a great brand. (so long as it's clean)

The bad- there doesn't seem to be any bedding. Maybe you're supposed to bring your own?? Had I known I definitely would have done so because the comforter and blanket were so thin and insubstantial to make it barely better than nothing at all. They also really seem to like harsh fluorescent light an awful lot. A lot. Again, if that's the price for an economical full kitchen hotel, fine but if there's a way to soften that up a bit, that'd be a plus.

In fairness I stayed here last summer and it was clean.
