My sisters, my mom, and I went to PA to celebrate my brother and sister-in-law's 50th birthday celebration in Mt. Joy. We dropped Mom off at my brother's place, and we stayed at the Manheim Manor Bed and Breakfast. Loreen and Todd were the best!!! The house was beautiful. Todd and Loreen were gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome. Todd made the BEST breakfasts. I will definitely stay there the next time I'm in PA.

My boyfriend and I decided to stay overnight for the PA Renaissance Faire at Manheim Manor.
We both had never stayed at a bed & breakfast before, so we decided to take the jump. We were able to check in early (11AM) to put our belongings in our room (the Peaches & Cream room, themed for France). Inkeeper Todd was more than accommodating in giving us a tour and explaining the ins and outs of this bed & breakfast. Large and luxurious sitting areas in the living room, quaint tables set up in the sun room for breakfast dining and a snack and drink bar set up in the evening hours. There were movies to chose from and a record player with a great selection of vinyl gems.
I chose the Peaches and Cream room not only for the lovely French theme, but because it has it's own private screened in porch area that you can take your breakfast in (and it's nice if you happen to be a smoker, no need to walk through the house at late hours). It's also the only room that has an entrance from the outside garden area/street. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the location right next to the kitchen. I'm very sensitive to sounds and you could hear conversation and people shuffling around in the kitchen. I slept with the bathroom fan on for white noise to combat the sounds, it was fine. On the upside, being right next to the kitchen in the morning made for fantastic smells to wake to. :)
The sense of social togetherness in this bed & breakfast was great. At any given time you could roam around the house and converse with other guests, and the innkeeper Todd was there to answer any questions you had. Breakfast in the morning was absolutely incredible. Apricot scones, yogurt with fruit, blueberry and lemon pound cake, bacon, red potatoes, garden vegetable frittata and coffee and juices. It was quite a filling spread!
I am looking forward to heading back to Manheim Manor in the near future for another stay! You will feel right at home!

If you are heading to Lancaster county PA for an Amish experience or visiting the PA Renaissance Faire, this bed and breakfast is a wonderful place to stay. Beautifully decorated rooms, lovely quiet backyard, incredible breakfasts to start your morning, and very nice inn keepers. The folks that run this B and B have a great knowledge of the area and will provide as much information about the area as possible. They always have evening wine and appetizers out for their guests.
The beds are extremely comfortable and help those sore muscles relax after a day of sight seeing. For those who like the shops and specialities of Litiz, Manheim is only 8 miles away. It is also in the heart of farm country. We were directed, by our inn keeper, to visit the local farmer market. We had a wonderful time and spent hours talking to the farmers and crafters that sell their wares.
Great area for a family vacation.
Only down side of the visit is that for those folks that have issues with stairs, there are only two rooms downstairs. they are the smallest rooms in the B and B.

Room Tip: The emerald Room was lovely, also the Lavender Room has a jacuzzi tub.

My stay at Manheim Manor was very enjoyable. The rooms were lovely. The "community rooms" (sitting room, dining room, windowed narrow porch with small sunlit tables, library, etc) were comfortable and home-y. The hosts, Todd and Lauren, were very accomodating, from allowing a late arrival AND staying outside to "wave me in", to fun conversation, pouring complimentary wine, and wonderful breakfasts. Couldn't have asked for a nicer experience.

Manheim Manor is warm and comfortable. It is evident the owners take pride in decorating and making guests feel at home. Our room was tiny and a bit overcrowded with stuff but that didn't overshadow the pleasant conversations with the owners. The gardens are beautifully laid out and I'm sure are absolutely wonderful when in season. Would return again.

It was great to eat Todd's fabulous breakfast and stay in the beautiful Peach Room, with a private porch. I feel safe and at home. Can't wait to go back next month. I love the front porch during a rain shower with a glass of complimentary wine.

Another great experience and a beautiful time of year to visit. The house is so interesting and the gardens so lush and colorful. A great little town that takes you back in time and simplicity. Todd and Laureen were so kind and accommodating and once again offered a superb stay in a wonderful setting. Can't wait to return!
