We were thoroughly impressed with the Ascot House. Wendy, the hostess, was incredibly kind, generous, and pleasant. Our room was beautiful and very clean. We will definitely be recommending this place to our family and friends!

By far, The Ascot House is the most relaxing B&B you could ever escape to. Wendy, the proprietor and most gracious and elegant hostess welcomes you with wine and cheeses on the patio overlooking a beautiful garden. The house has a welcoming and homey atmosphere from the minute you enter till the time you leave!! The rooms are all different and have their own personality. There isn't one you wouldn't enjoy! Wendy is at your beck and call and has the best stories and recommendations for dining, places to go, wineries, etc. We stayed for two nights, but it is never enough time to fit everything in. That's why we will DEFINITELY be going back!! Thanks for everything Wendy! We love you!!

We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The house has been done over with class and charm and the owner is a wonderful hostess. The gardens are great to explore as well. The breakfast both mornings were delicious. Wendy's advise about the area was also spot on and her recommendations for attractions and dinner were excellent. We have put this experience on our must do again list.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Bedford Room which included a large bedroom with an adjacent sitting room with a fi...

What a wonderful home to spend time! Hostess Wendy is the most charming person and so very thoughtful. We would go out during the day but would want to be "home" in time for her wine and cheeses! The ascot house feels like home away from home and Wendy a special friend.
Do not overlook this charming jewel!

My wife Jill and I had another great experience at this treasured bed and breakfast run by owner Wendy Codd. We first visited this B&B last June and had such a great experience that we had to return in 2014. Wendy's memory is excellent as she remembered us from our first visit in 2013 and welcomed us with hugs. The meal she provides for breakfast is carefully prepared and presented each morning. No self serve here, you are served as if it was a 5 star hotel with a 3 course meal that will keep you going well past noon. In addition, Wendy also provides a wine and cheese respite in the late afternoon where guests can relax and get to know one another. Wendy always has information about the area and has great recommendations about local attractions and dining options. if you are visiting the Lancaster or York areas, make sure that you give this gem a look, you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Refer to the web site to view the room options as they each have their own appeal. All are tasteful...

I just enjoyed a two weeknight stay at the Ascot House Bed and Breakfast in Marietta, PA and it was LOVELY. The hostess Wendy is a wonderful English lady, happy to regale you with great stories or listen to your own tales over wine and cheese in the evenings before retiring. She has a wonderful touch for romance and encouragement. Make sure you are ready to climb some stairs to get to your room--the building is 5 or 6 stories tall. I stayed in the Suffolk room and I was SO excited for the Jacuzzi in front of the gas fireplace--it did not disappoint.

I also went on a Living Social deal (that made it more affordable) which included a gift certificate to the Accomac Inn nearby in York, and Wendy was happy to make lunch reservations for us. She also surprised us by letting the Inn know in advance that my husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we got some surprise chocolate covered strawberries with whipped cream at the end of our meal. I really felt sad as I hugged Wendy goodbye after having the run of her beautiful home for two days.

Room Tip: Make sure to check out the room descriptions on their website, and check availability for the room t...

If you want to be pampered spend some time at the Ascot. Wendy, the innkeeper, thinks of everything to make your stay truly special. I loved listening to her stories, which at times were quite funny. The house is very interesting with quite an historical background and the gardens are delightful. I plan to go back soon and listen to more of Wendy's stories and stay in a beautiful home which has character and grace. Thank you, Wendy

Room Tip: All the rooms were beautiful and well-appointed.
