My husband and I spent 5 days here for our 22 second annivesary and decided that this is where we will be coming back to next year for our anniversary too! The people who run the place are VERY nice people, they have a lovely store (not a food store) with very reasonable prices. The cabin was great except for only two complaint - the TV only gets one goot cable channel BUT does have a built in DVD and the Country Store down the street rents movies AND Leber's leaves about 10 movies in the room for you (although mostly horror), and the hot water does not last long for the shower so you need to shower quick. Other than that, the cabin was romantic, roomy, LOVED the fireplace, bedroom was big, living was big, full kitchen with kitchen table and chairs, bathroom, backdoor and back deck, a fully loaded wood shed, nicely decorated, cozy, lovely view outside, lots of room outside the cabin, near EVERYTHING in Ohiopyle like Laurel Caverns, Fort Necessity, Fallingwater, Nemocolin. Highy, Highly recommend. As I said, I know we'll be back next year!

I stayed here with a group of friends earlier this month. We occupied cabins 1 and 2 for two nights.

The cabins were both in good shape, clean, and well appointed. They are air conditioned (#2 has central air, #1 has a window unit), and cabin 2 has a stove/oven and kitchen sink. Both cabins have fire pits that include grates for cooking. The $5 a day charge for unlimited firewood is a great deal, as we probably would have spent $40 or more to get the same amount of wood from a local store.

If you are really looking for rustic, know that this is not the place. As I mentioned above, the cabins are air conditioned. They also have TVs inside. Also, I should note that cabins 1 and 2 are the closest to route 40 - they're no more than 25 yards from the road, where cars and motorcycles often zoom by at 60 miles an hour. So yeah, it's loud. If this fact doesn't both you, then these cabins are great.

But, if you're looking for solitude, isolation, peace and quiet, or a rustic back-to-nature weekend, you may want to look elsewhere. We had a great time at Leber's Log Cabins, but all of us sometimes wished we were in a more remote location.

Stayed here last summer in cabin #2. The cabin was great. They let us keep the dog there and they even let her in the pool (which was very clean). A very nice couple of days. If you're looking for the best nights sleep you've ever had though forget it. They desperately need new mattresses, at least in cabin #2.

Room Tip: They only have two cabins with A/C

I rented Cabin 7 for a nice Valentine's Day weekend. What a great time we had. The cabin was everything an old log cabin should be. With the exception of the bathroom it was pretty spacious. In fact, the bathroom would have to be the worst part about the place, and it is not something we took issue with, I'm just trying to think of the least favorite part really. It is small but not uncomfortable and long hot showers are not going to happen. The shower is a small tile floor and wall shower. Also the door is one of those accordian sliding things like in a camper. Not a big deal though. The kitchen is big enough for 2 people to move around in easily and it has some shelves, drawers and cuboards, a small 4 burner gas stove and oven, microwave, mini fridge / freezer, can opener, coffee pot, small table with 2 chairs and a nice big deep sink. Counter space is a bit limited but I did not have any trouble preparing meals. You do have to bring all of your own pots, pans, dishes, cups and silverware (also coffee filters). The bedroom had enough room to put your bags and suitcases where they did not get in your way and allowed easy walking access all around the bed. There was also a nightstand on one side of the bed with a lamp and alarm clock, a rocking chair with an extra quilt on it on the other side of the bed and a huge mirror mounted on the wall at the foot of the bed by the doorway. The bed was a little soft for my taste but not old or beat up. The living room has a very nice stone fireplace, a stand with a 13 inch TV with built in DVD player, a small standwith a lamp on it, a couch, a glass coffee table and a wodden gliding chair. There is a stack of DVD's there as well but it was mostly horror movies for some reason. Each room has a light in the ceiling with a wall switch, There were extra outlets in the bedroom and living room for anything else you may bring with you and charging phones and things. I brought a small humidifier with me because we had the fireplace going all weekend. The fireplace was great and NO smoke came back into the cabin. There was also no smoke smell in the cabin. The heat is radiant heat in the floors and this worked very well. It seemed to be prominent in the bathroom and the bedroom, in both places the floors were actually quite warm which was a nice feeling when you got out of the shower and out of bed. There are also radiators behind the couch and there is a plug in tower heater in the closet in the livingroom. We did not need the extra heater, even in the mornings when the fire had been out for hours the temperature was comfortable. We got about 10 inches of snow and it got down to 16 degrees at night and we were still very comfortable, the fireplace really made it nice in there though. There is a small wood shed outside and fire wood is all you can burn for $5 a day which is crazy cheap. If you pay cash it is free which is just nuts. We burned from friday night until we went to bed late saturday night. On to cleanliness, this place was spotless when we got there. Not a speck of dirt on the floors and carpets. The bathroom was pristine. The stove, fridge and microwave were spotless. The bed sheets, towels, washcloths and dishrags were all freshly laundered. There was dish soap, hand soap and little hotel style bars of soap provided. No cobwebs or dust to be found anywhere. The place could not have been cleaner. We only found one bug the whole weekend and my girlfiend can spot a bug the size of a pin head from across a room so there were no bug problems in this cabin. Overall, we had a great weekend. Cabin 7 is back away from route 40, there was no noise problems from the house beside us, we were mostly surrounded by woods, and it was very pretty ouside the cabin. Some of the other cabins are right along the highway so this may be a problem if you are a light sleeper and they don't have the same scenery around them but we walked around and checked them out and they all looked to be very nice outside and what we could see throught the windows looked nice as well. The owners are also very nice and told us about all the reseraunts and sights nearby. They even provide you with a big firestarter log to get the fireplace going. All of this cost me $186 total for the weekend. If you are looking for room service, 100 channels and hottubs you will be disapointed, If you are looking for a nice, clean, cozy rustic cabin experience this place will exceed your expectations.
