I've always wanted to try this little cafe. The menu looked very appetizing. We ordered from the menu at the counter from a very nice lady who was very pleasant with a good sense of humor. We ordered the angus melt which is a burger. And we also ordered a panini sandwich called the California. We were told that because we ordered the Angus Melt it would take about 20 minutes. Really? We found out later that the reason for this is that the meat is frozen and they want to make sure it is cooked through. I don't have a problem with that. But I cook frozen burgers at home in much less time.
The California panini is a turkey and avocado on wheat.
The burger was good. Very juicy and cooked through with no evidence of pink. (We were not asked how we wanted it cooked. Probably because it was frozen .) Not the best burger in the world but still good. Not worth a 20 minute wait. I would not get it again.
The California panini was ok but was lacking flavor. It needed something. You really could not taste the turkey or the avocado. A mayonnaise packet helped somewhat. The wheat bread was toasted perfectly and was very fresh and delicious. Probably would not order this again.
