I have been here a couple of times. The first time on a self guided tour, and it was great. The house is amazing. The second time we had a girl in a historical outfit give us a tour and it was somewhat cloying and annoying, and also political - I do not even think she realized it. However, I have to say it is worth seeing and the "Lincoln flag" is incredibly moving. Worth seeing.

The "Lincoln Flag" is awesome...quite chilling to see the actual blood-stained flag that cradled Lincoln after he was shot! There is a lot of history in this lovely museum. Really enjoyed the camp room on the 2nd floor: letters from boys were a riot! The whole museum is very nicely arranged. Knowledgeable, pleasant guides are available to answer all your questions. Stop by!

The person told us about the story of the blood stained flag and spoke a little about the actors that had been in The play and used a decrative flag that was hanging nearby to put under president Lincolns head. We were permitted to roam the rest of the house at our leisure.

We went for the American flag that Lincoln's head was rested on after he was shot and we found a small local museum with great history. The girl at the reception desk was very sweet and knew her stuff. She shared the history of the house and the flag and then set us on our way. It was well worth the time and the small admission price ($5 per person).

Small admission fee. Very interesting museum with good local history and local indian tribes history also. The best piece was the american flag from Ford's Theatre that was used as a pillow for Licoln's head after he was shot. You can still see the blood stains.
