“Beautiful family owned motel”
Reviewed 9 March 2014 via mobile

You will not be disappointed! Family owned for three generations, this is an immaculate place to stay. Cozy and peaceful, our best nights sleep on our cross country trip. Beautiful tile bathroom and plush king size bed...it truly was like being 'home.' The owner recommended a great restaurant for dinner as well.

I stayed overnight at the Myer Motel last Saturday, March 1st and I have to say that it was a WONDERFUL motel. We had a newly renovated room which was very nice and cozy. And as silly as it sounds, the blue towels in the room are a fabulous touch instead of standard hotel white. I recommend Myers Motel to anyone who needs to stay in the area and I definitely plan on staying there again. A++++ to Craig and Sharon.

Took my girlfriend on an overnight event in the area. Love the cabin layout. Easily accessible in winter. Owners were friendly and helpful. Rate was very competitive. Cabin very clean and well maintained. My only complaint I can come up with it the television in room was very old and did not accept outside devices (travel Blu-ray player.) Planning on coming back in Spring.

Second time that I've stayed here. Both times for only one night. Nicely done rooms that are clean. Cabins sit back far enough to not have much road noise. Nice place that I would not hesitate to stay at again!

Checked in for a 2 night stay for a family reunion. Front desk pleasant. Free Hot coffee and juice in the am was nice. Well mantained grounds. Had a football in the car so kids were able to spend time playing on the center courtyard area. Close to stores and restaurants. Take the tip and see Grey Tower! Rooms are CLEAN and well maintained. Nothing fancy but spacious rooms , just what you need for a comfortable night rest. Coffee pot, small fridge and large TV.

Had a nice cabin with plenty of room for a family of 4. Rooms are dated but, very clean. The rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh linens and towels. The only downside is you are not staying in the middle of town. I would stay again next time I am in Milford.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Welcome to the Myer Country Motel where for over 68 years our standards of innkeeping excellence have been our trademark. Nestled among the Pocono Mountains of North Eastern Pennsylvania, the cottages sit on four acres with blue spruce and white pine trees lining the courtyard. The Myer Country Motel was established in 1945 by Ralph and Matilda Myer. Ralph remarried in 1952 to Audubon Winfield and they together continued to run the motel well into their 80's until their daughter, Audubon Cox, took over in 1975. She brought her energy and knack for decorating to the motel to give it a country home feel. Many people comment that this is their "home away from home". In June 1995 the third generation took over to continue the family business. Today you'll find the same warm, country friendliness that has set us apart for over 68 years. We hope you will visit us soon! ... more   less
