Our room was comfortable and clean, but we were a bit surprised by the condition of the outside. The screened in porch was nice, but the screen really needed cleaning, the lawn needed mowing and the general upkeep outside was not what we were expecting. The breakfasts were good with plenty of good fruit. However the dinners were expensive and not the greatest tasting. The problem is there is no other place to eat nearby unless you want to drive several miles on winding roads in the dark.
Our room had a little notebook about the place including the pieces of furniture in the room and how and where they came from and how precious they were to the owner. We were a bit scared to touch them. One rule there is you cannot eat in your room because you might leave stains on the bedspread and rug. Somewhat intimidating.
The owner doesn't believe in fragrances, which is wonderful and she supplies shampoo and lotion which are fragrance free.More
