Truly wonderful stay
The room was very comfotable and decorated so thoughtfully with beautiful wood carvings and paintings .
The food was delicious ! (I particularly loved the blueberry pancakes)
But, most imprtantly, the hospitality was second to none and they were more than happy to help us decide what to do and where to go.They aso kindly seated us with some guests we had met for our evening meal. Nothing was too much trouble, yet it was all done in a quiet understated way.We stayed at several Nova Scotia hotels over the past 2 weeks but this has to be the best!

We stayed in the king room within the Inn itself for three nights - very comfortable bed in peaceful country surroundings. Watching the hummingbirds feed outside while we dined in the covered veranda melted away the stress of urban life! The owner and her staff are very kind, service-oriented and personable. Rooms are clean and the food couldn't be fresher. Lovely variety of breakfasts while we stayed there. One particularly blustery night, we did not feel like going out and made a late request to eat at the Inn. The owner had already let her staff go for the night but graciously accommodated us by cooking a lovely crab dinner.

Room Tip: If you can't live without a tv, choose a cottage.

We stayed here for three nights. We enjoyed two fabulous dinners quite expensive, but very well prepared.) and had a comfortable room. The staff was always accommodating. We had two issues: Our room had a somewhat east facing window, which lacked any kind of sun blocking shade. So by 7 in the morning the room was already quite bright. The bigger issue that the address is listed as Baddeck,NS. In fact it is a good 17 miles outside of Baddeck on a typical Nova Scotia country road: curvy, dark at night, with no shoulder to speak of. We had expected to be able to walk around a town in the evening and have views of water. Neither are available.

Thank you for taking time to write a review of your stay . I'm pleased that you had a pleasant room and that you enjoyed the dinners. However, I'm a bit confused regarding your note that there was no sun-blocking shade but there indeed was. It perhaps was hidden under the valance. I am sorry that you didn't mention it.

The address: It is such a dilemma for us because our mailing address is indeed Baddeck . It is on the Cabot Trail, not on a "typical Nova Scotia country road". We do have our GPS location on the web site and hope that will clarify our location.

We didn't stay overnight but ate at the lovely restaurant where we had great service, refined cuisine, good local beer and wine, and a very pleasant view of the hills as the fog rolled in. Highly recommended!

My girlfriend and I spent two nights here. Very lovely place. Very clean and quiet. The dinner was very tasty and the service is top notch. The scenery is beautiful. A lovely place to stay. Hidden away up on a hill, a wonderful retreat. The place is priced reasonably well, you get what you pay for, high quality.
