At the Olde Square Inn we were treated to a very comfortable stay. Our room was beautifully decorated, bright, and clean. The bed was oh so comfy with a firm and supported mattress... wonderful. Georgie made a delicious breakfast for everyone in the morning with very fresh local ingredients. The gardens were also nicely kept and well-planned. When staying here, be sure to check with Georgie for local restaurants - she will steer you right!

Room Tip: Although we chose our room and it was lovely, we didn't realize it was on the first floor right...

We greatly appreciate your review as it is our guest who encourages others to come and stay at the Olde Square Inn.
You had mentioned the "Room Tip". We have owned the inn for two years and have never encountered anyone who wasn't comfortable with the Summerfield room. It is off the dining room but we keep it closed off it is almost breakfast serving time. Our living room is beside the dining room which is the usual location but here again the guests are very respectful in their time of gathering and it does not interfere with this guest room.
This is a beautiful room and people love it there which can be seen by the reviews that are posted.

A delightful couple you were and so appreciative!
As noted on the website Key Largo has a two person soaking tub with a hand held shower.
This is a beautiful open floor suite and you will love it up there!

My husband and I just returned from our 4 day anniversary get away. We had the most wonderful time which started out with our arrival at the Old Square Inn. Mt Joy is a throwback to middle America in the best sense possible! Old Square is absolutely lovely as are proprietors Georgie and Paul. To begin with the house is beautiful, eclipsed only by Georgie's scrumptious breakfasts. Lancaster County has so many special places to explore and all the restaurant recommendations (literally ALL the recommendations Georgie and Paul made) were outstanding, and I am particularly picky when it comes to food. Do not miss dinner at Accomac Inn, across the Susquehanna River , or the Tomato Pie at Tomato Pie Cafe in Lititz. Just tell them what you want to do and you will be led in the right direction. LOVED Burning Bridge Antiques in Columbia. Despite having four full days we were sad to be going home.
Georgie and Paul we look forward to a return visit this fall!

Room Tip: Really, choose at will, you can't go wrong.

My husband and I recently stayed two nights in the Carriage House of the Olde Square Inn. It was the perfect place for us to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The Carriage House has very romantic and spacious accommodations including a gas fireplace, whirlpool tub, microwave and small frig. Georgie was helpful, very personable, and sweet. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the lovely porch of the Inn. Everything was neat, clean, and inviting...the grounds, the rooms, and the pool. This was the perfect place to stay because of its central location to places we wanted to visit during our stay--Hershey, Lancaster, and Gettysburg. We would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend it. --Kathy and Ted

Room Tip: For a private, romantic getaway, we recommend the Carriage House.

Recently stayed at the Olde Square Inn for two nights. First of all, the breakfast was exquisite! Totally homemade and fresh ingredients throughout. My family has stayed at many bed and breakfasts over the years. This breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. I also make home cooked, "from scratch" food, so we are used to eating well. Georgie did not disappoint - great job. Georgie also provided great recommendations for dinner which made our weekend experience even better. Also, the inn is spotless and well cared for. We have already recommended the inn and look forward to visiting again.

I stayed in the Olde Square Inn on a recent bicycle trip down the east coast. The accomodations were very comfortable, the host pleasant and the location in town was accessible to dining and services. If I have a reason to be back in Mount Joy I will definitely stay there again.
