“Fun getaway!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2014 via mobile

Stayed in the champagne tower suite, room 405. Fun room! Love the pool and whirlpool. Rooms could use some updating. Grounds also need some TLC and pot holes need to be fixed. Food was good and the staff were great! Enjoyed the nightclub and the band was very good. A fun getaway but overpriced.

My husband and I stayed at Paradise Stream on the 19th and 20th of March and we had a great time. A few things though:

1. The dinners were terrible. Low quality food served at all different temperatures. The veggies were frozen, bagged, and mushy and the meat tasted like school cafeteria food. The service was great. Unfortunate that the product is so bad.

2. We stayed in the Diana's Oasis Suite. It was very clean and well kept. We did need additional towels but it wasn't a big deal.

3. The pool in the room was tiny; it was more like a big, warm, deep, hot tub.

4. The town was not pretty or picturesque. It was just a run down main street.

5. The resort fees are an additional 21 dollars a day. After paying 26% tax, this seemed kinda steep.

All in all, we had a great time but would not choose to stay here again. Next time I will choose more carefully.

we were given a 3 night stay at this resort! we got a champagne tower suite...4 levels! top to bottom....bedroom & bath...top level, heart shaped pool...next level down...living room with fireplace next down and sauna & massage table with heat lamp at very bottom. the way it is laid out...so much glass and mirrors....you literally can see one level to the next when standing in the living room. suite was very clean! dated in décor...little gaudy...Egyptian theme....tacky red/black. tiny blinking lights in ceiling above round bed. open shower on one side...see thru window on other side. separate toilet with door. enter champagne glass Jacuzzi from top level....it fills very slowly! bring your own bubbles! shampoo doesn't work! there is a heat lamp above the Jacuzzi too....turns everything red! red red red! lol! anyone know the Roxanne song? yeah! sauna very nice!!!! come out of there and get into the pool which filters 24 hrs....very clean and very warm....very nice! yes...you are surrounded by mirrors! so you see yourself coming and going! oh great....not! not for a 59 yr old couple! lol! when in Jacuzzi...you look down into the living room! there is a good fridge. we were sent huge very fresh choc covered strawberries with a heart shaped giant mound of whipped cream!!!! must have been 20 berries! and they sent us a bottle of champagne & mylar/latex bunch of balloons! wow...nice touch! and....because we encountered a short delay at checkin.....they had us take a horse drawn carriage ride that picked us up at lobby and normally you pay for but gave us it FREE!!!! because we had to wait about 20 minutes! it was a really nice comp! the restaurant....very good! if you couldn't find anything to eat....you really are just too picky! this resort for where it is...in poconos...says it is an all inclusive. well...the meals and drinks but not alcoholic are indeed all included as are the tips! they have sit down or buffet. kinda reminds you of an era past but updated somewhat...think movie dirty dancing. nostalgic. we liked it! now...we rated this 4 circles....it is not a star rating. it is very good for what it is. however....we usually only stay at 5 star resorts internationally. based on that....for a hotel....i'd give this resort a 2.5 ...3 star rating. nothing fancy about it although we really enjoyed ourselves! oh....almost forgot. we encountered a snow storm up there in feb 2014....10 inches...almost didn't get home. the only thing we did that was included in stay was snowmobiling...which was awesome! now....we could have stayed on property to do it but we went to the sister resort...Pocono palace for the snowmobiling....great...big course....and a snow covered golf course! so there were hills and trees....lot of fun! good machines! they take out 6 to 8 people at a time...there is a guide that travels with you! as long as there are no other people waiting to do this.....once you get back to start....you can go right out again! we went around 4x....each time taking 15 mintues or so! so if this sounds fun to you....spring for the champagne towers!!!!! you won't regret it. oh....if you know living social or groupon....there are big discounts for this resort! that's how our daughter bought this! in summer....there are indoor and outdoor pools! we found no need to use the indoor pool that is open in winter....our heart shaped pool with seat in our suite was perfect!

Room Tip: champagne tower suites worth it for the uniqueness and fun!

Omg.. Where do I began... We stayed March 19-21, 2014... This was our 3rd stay and the one I'm most disappointed with... First the pot holes upon entering the resort (what a joke to even call it a resort) are ridiculous.... we checked in and. Had no towels in our Champagne Towers... Really? A jacuzzi, Indoor pool, sauna, etc and no towels... (Puzzled look)! Called front desk for towels to no prevail...went to the front desk before dinner (food had to sent back twice because it was cold) and Camber (with a snotty attitude) assured us we would have towels... After dinner and still no towels.. called front desk again.. they had no idea what I was talking about or even waiting on towels...we found there was trash left n the bathroom from the previous guest..There was dirt (appeared to be crumbs) and ants near the massage table and sauna... The pool area was gritty and dirty. I honestly felt like we were at a Super 8 Motel.. Next day we got up and got out.. found things to do off property (I felt relieved)... I am so disappointed and feel like we were robbed....Whats more upsetting is that I should be writing a great review because we are now Forever Lovers!.... (giggles..what a freaking joke)..

I have been going to the three different resorts for thirty years. The food has gotten much better. However the rooms are old and need some brushing up. It's a fast get away but by far it's not a five star resort...

Room Tip: Book high end room.

My love and I had a fantastic time during our one night stay on March 20th in a Diana's Oasis room. We purchased our reservation through groupon, elsewise the price is not worth it without a few updates.

Pros-
Amazing atmosphere.
Perfect lighting, especially the stars over the hot tub.
Two person shower - great for playtime, but a little awkward to shower in with the bench
Large room with plenty to occupy yourselves.
Hot Tub and Pool were clean, and perfect sized. (We did not use the resort pool room at all)
Photographer was accommodating as well as the hotel with a late check out.

Cons-
THE FOOD. The beef stroganoff - the sauce looked like it came from a can and the beef was so incredible dry. The salmon filet - EW. This was most definitely a frozen patty that was over cooked that came with a sauce you defrosted and poured over. Both came with frozen steamed bland veggies as well as bland brown rice.
The Manhattan Clam Chowder was excellent - but again it came from a large can or was frozen given the layer of sodium floating on top.
Breakfast was no different than any other diner breakfast in America, but with less choices.
The lunch- not included in the price - expensive generic fair/fast food fried food. Yelck. we chose no to eat lunch there.
If I had paid full price for this room I would have fought for a decent credit.
If we had been for multiple nights I would jave chosen to eat locally instead of on the resort.

ALCOHOL.
You could obtain alcohol from 5pm on in the Lounge Night Club, and during Dinner time as well as from the front desk for an absurd price for champagne. The other mixed drink prices were comparable in price with a higher end restaurant, hotel bar, or resort. BUT I'm on a love nest vacation, I want Mimosas with breakfast, I want to be able to have a cocktail when I want, not when a resort tells me I can. Or at least the availability of it.
Bring your own and use your minifridge!

The BED
Who knew a king size round bed is significantly smaller than a rectangular

Worth every penny we paid through groupon. If we had not had a groupon I would be thoroughly upset. The price is too high for the winter.
Maybe fairly priced for Summertime but definitely not the winter.

Room Tip: Diana's Oasis. The private pool is heated to perfection and the whirlpool is perfect sized. A...

My husband and I stayed here on our Honeymoon in 2011, and I did not write a review then, but am writing one now. Let me just say, we can't WAIT to come back! We stayed in one of the Champagne Tower suites and it was fantastic. It was a little deceiving however from the outside...we were worried as we approached the building, but upon opening the door, wow were we in for a shock! We loved everything about this resort, from the fantastic heart shaped in-suite pool, to the champagne tower jacuzzi, dimming lights in the bedroom and lower level sauna. I loved the multiple levels. The food was tasty, and so were the fancy drinks, though they were not included in the meal price. We also liked the key access to other resorts, and dined at Pocono Palace one of the nights we were there. We partook in many of the couples activities. I really have no complaints about this resort. Staff was also very pleasant and accommodating. My only quirk was that we could not for the life of us figure out how to get the fireplace to work. We could have asked someone, but it was early October, so we didn't really need it. There were plenty of other amenities to occupy our time.
