It is a beautiful compound of buildings lush with flowers and plants. Everyone was very friendly and we were upgraded at check in just because another room was available. When we arrived there was a wedding in progress. It looked like they did a wonderful job. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast was tasty. All you could ask for in a bed and breakfast. Look forward to a return visit.

My husband and I stayed overnight here after a wedding and were so pleasantly surprised to wake up to an amazingly delicious breakfast, cooked to order! The house and grounds were managed well, with cute little additions such as the chicken coop outside of the dining area. This would be a fun place for children as all the chicken are named via a corresponding laminated sheet to identify. We thought we received a good value for our money. The only hesitation and reason I did not give 5 stars is there are no hairdryers in the room. When getting ready for a wedding, a hairdryer is a necessity. There was no one at the front desk to ask, or any staff to be found, so I spent 30 mins looking in hallway closets, etc only to find an entire closet full of about 30 hairdryers! Why wouldn't these be placed in guests rooms?

Holly Hedge was just beautiful for a wedding. The barn was decorated for Christmas with lots of candles and sparkle. The huge fireplace roaring was an added bonus. Although it doesn't really look like a barn it is a combination of rustic and modern. The staff came and met us with umbrella's since it was raining and that attention to guests continued through the whole night. The reception area was beautiful and the food was excellent. I am trying to think of an excuse to go back.

Room Tip: We were in room 12 which faced a meadow. It had a sitting room with a sleeper sofa and a nice sized...

HollyHedge is beautiful with an amazing staff. We stayed in the carrige house with family. We had the top floor and they had the bottom level. It had such charm and character with modern amenities. The bathrooms were beautiful! It's so unique with all sorts of paths and things to wonder around and discover. The innkeeper was very attentive and friendly. Anything we needed he went out of his way to make sure we had it. The breakfast was pretty good. The only thing I didn't care for was the french toast one morning. Other than that, I really can't complain about the food or service. I'm looking forward to going back soon!! It was the best B&B I've ever stayed at, very quiet and private.

Room Tip: The carriage house is very private and quiet. The second floor is beautiful with the smaller bedroom...

We went there this past weekend for a wedding- 9/14/12 Everythinng was great! They did a wonderful job with the cocktail hour, reception was terrific and then the newly weds paid for an after party. The party was held where the cocktail hour was earlier that night. Exactly at 1am the staff closed the bar and asked the guest to immediantly leave that area. NO problem but this place is located in the woods, in the middle of no where. The exterior lights were turned off at 1am as well and you could not see a thing at all. My biggest complaint however were the rooms. It was like you were paying top dollar to stay at grandma's house. The rooms were dated! Not only were the rooms dated but you can hear word for word what guest in adjacent rooms were saying. Its like the walls are made of paper. So if you are going to spend alone time with your sinificate other, WATCH WHAT YOU SAY OR DO! Others will hear everything. The next morning around 8:30ish the building lost water. I guess its well water and the pump could not keep up with the demand of all the guest. Luckly we had bottled water to brush our teeth. Breakfast was good and the staff was not rude in my opinion.

My family and I have been staying at HollyHedge for years and last November my husband and I got married there. The staff was great to work with. The food was amazing. We still get compliments on it. We had our ceremony in the old barn and it looked beautiful! Hary Mary's, a local florist, did our flowers and they were absolutely amazing! The staff is great and the rooms are too. Other people are posting about it being dirty or having bugs in the rooms. Its a rustic atmosphere! We booked up all the rooms in the inn for the wedding and everyone was more than happy with the accomodations. They decorated the honeymoon suite with rose petals and flowers and had a fire going in the gorgeous wood burning fireplace for us. The suite offers a steam shower and a huge jacuzzi. The wedding planners are great to work with andThey even offered us an after wedding party in the old barn, which was nice because we weren't really finished celebrating. I would 100% recommend this place for a wedding or just a weekend trip away.

Room Tip: The rooms with wood buring fire places are great to get if going with other couples. They have a sit...

This place is a beautiful bed and breakfast however it is crawling in "stink bugs". I attended a wedding that was wonderful. Good food and service but was appalled when the waitress served our meal with a bug on her shoulder. It was even worse when there was one on my pillow later that night. The innkeeper told us "it's that time if year." Absolutely unacceptable. Also the cable in did not work. Why have a tv?
