This was one of the best overnight getaways my wife and I have ever been on! We have stayed at many Bed and Breakfasts in our 15 year marriage, and this definately tops the list. Best is that it is not far from home- New Hope and Lambertville (a scenic short walk over the Delaware River) offer boutiques, great restaurants, art galleries, and antique shops (if you actually want to leave your room!). The Stephan House has real charm; each of the rooms has a different "personality". We stayed in room #3- complete with a fireplace, 4 poster bed, and new bathroom. The King-sized bed was extremely comfortable. The place is quiet, clean, retains it Colonial charm and characteristics. In the morning, we were treated to a very nice breakfast of fresh local fruits and baked goods- the fresh hot peach pie was to die for! Yogurt, granola, fresh tarts- all fresh and beautifully presented on a solid wooden table that was made from a tree which was felled from the property! The place has charm and the service was great! We will definately be back!
