Good food for a dive bar. A New Hope classic! Great drinks and always local live music.

I met my husband there. What more can I say? It's a gritty, fun, fabulous place. If you are in New Hope, you really shouldn't miss it. It's the venue that launched many famous musical acts.

You can't stay in New Hope without having a drink at the infamous John and Peters! One of my favorite "dive style" bars doesn't need any spit and polish. Still serving great bar food and atmosphere, you can catch a local band almost any night of the week. May the taps flow on...

We arrived in New Hope quite by accident last month, but decided to walk around and take in the sights. Arrived at John and Peter's Place and had a few drinks. Met Patti (the very helpful and hilarious tender of the bar), she made us feel very confortable as we chatted about sports, movies, art and music. Patti convinced us that we should stay the weekend and recommended a few B&Bs in the area. We did. Thanks John and Peters Place staff!! We had fun and will come back again for the music, lack of pretentious attitude, and Patti's shots of Jager.
