This was a Newtown/Bucks County staple until the Goodnoe family closed up their restaurant in the early 2000s. When they re-opened the ice cream shop in 2005 my husband forced me to make regular pilgrimages here. It's not super fancy but it is super good. The ice cream is very good on its own, simple coffee and vanilla are rich, creamy with good texture and strong flavor. You get some classic flavors like swiss chocolate almond, rum raisin, cherry vanilla with some really decadent ones. The peanut butter ripple has literally a RIPPLE of smooth peanut delight through it. They do have seasonal offerings but if you are looking for avocado/lavender/chocolate elderflower, please go elsewhere. There is limited seating indoors, outside on a good summer night there are throngs of people happily eating their generous cups or cones on the numerous benches around the shop. We love coming here for a week-night splurge or picking up a pint/gallon to go.
