My wife and I just stayed at the Mill Stone B&B while attending a local event. We found Marc and Nita to be effusively accomodating hosts, and the property is lovely. The house is set just outside of downtown Oley and is quiet enough that even as a light sleeper, I heard no road noise or anything from the one (1) other suite in the buildlng. While the house is very old, it's been fully updated including zoned A/C, wifi, cable tv etc. The suite comes with a living room sitting area in addition to the bedroom and private bath. And the breakfast, besides being tasty, was large enough that I had to pass on the toast and muffins because I was full.

The Mill Stone is also convenient to Reading, PA and had I known this on our last trip to the area, we would have stayed here instead of a chain hotel outside of Reading.

Room Tip: Book your reservation early.

We decided to escape New York City for Memorial Day, and go somewhere that we could smell fresh air. Luckily, we happened upon this Bed and Breakfast. We enjoyed the entirety of our time there. Breakfast was absolutely delicious (we loved the blueberry pancakes) and both the land that belongs to Marc and Nita as well as the surrounding roads were perfect for several nice walks. When we wanted to be in a bit bigger city we drove to Reading (to see a movie) and one day we went to Allentown to see a AAA baseball game. There was tons of fun and yet relaxing things to do for two people trying to get away from the big city.
The room was rustic and homey and super comfortable. We had everything we needed for a great little mini-vacation and would recommend the place to anyone.

Room Tip: Either room will work just fine.

I'll try to keep this short but there is a lot to tell on this visit. My wife and I booked the Mill Stone because it was reasonably priced and only a mile from the spring antique motorcycle meet in Oley and there really isn’t any other lodging close by. Other than a couple good reviews from Trip Advisor we had no idea what to expect but were willing to take the chance even though they just recently opened for business in 12/2012. We stayed 2 nights and it was a truly wonderful experience. We stayed in the Sunrise suite and from the get-go, were surprised that we had 3 separate rooms. Bedroom, bath, and sitting room complete with TV and computer all connected by a common hallway. Right outside the suite was a small room with coffee, fruit, various refrigerated drinks non and alcoholic as well as a small library.

This B&B is a 200 year old stone house with 2' thick walls. If you are expecting or require an all new modern decor then book a room at the Hilton. If you want a place that oozes charm and history that only a 200 year old place like this can offer, then this is the place. Of course things have been updated and it’s very clean yet plenty of character is still intact complete with creaky wood floors which we loved. For example our bath was original decor right out of the 50s yet all very well preserved condition and functional. So neat to get a glimpse of what things were like 60+ years ago. We rate the bed comfort very high and among the best we've ever had at any lodging. We slept like logs and awoke with no back aches or stiffness and my back is sensitive to bed type. We took a peek into the Zachon suite after guests checked out and all we can say is WOW was it ever nice. The sleigh bed and bathroom were amazing! Of course it’s more money but we already booked it for next year as we felt it was worth every penny. Our suite offered excellent value and we would have paid more and still been equally happy. Can't remember the last time we felt that way about a place......if ever. This is called exceeding customer’s expectations.

The breakfast was outstanding and this comes from two people who love to eat a big breakfast then not eat until late afternoon. Breakfast is our favorite meal and we are accustomed to some awesome places back home so expectations were pretty high. It’s not overdone by being overboard on the gourmet side but just downright good hearty food with nice variety and plenty of it. In the evening there was a chocolate torte left in the kitchen for a late dessert. This really hit the spot for our sweet tooth.

The outdoor grounds are very nice and Marc and Nita have plans to continually improve them. It was nice to take a quiet stroll around the grounds and pond in the evening and check out all the flora and fauna. We were surprised to see they had a nice in-ground pool as well. Of course it wasn't open yet in April.

Now for the Inn Keepers review. Marc and Nita were the best hosts we could have hoped for. There are some nice B&B's out there but if you have frequented a few I don't have to tell you the hosts are what separate’s the men from the boys so to speak. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were soooo easy to make casual conversation with. We talked so much we were afraid we were keeping them from their work. Genuinely good people and it comes from the heart.

We truely felt at home at the Mill Stone.

Room Tip: Zachon has the king size high end bed as well as a modern bath with big tile shower and huge clawfoo...

After returning from a cruise, my boyfriend and I were looking for a local, romantic getaway...and we were so lucky to stumble upon this lovely B&B. Every attention is paid to detail. A warm fire in the fireplace welcomed us, and, since there are only two suites in this charming home, we were able to sit by the fire, with a glass of wine, and not feel intrusive to the other house guests. Accommodations (we stayed in the Zackon suite) were tastefully done and offered unparalleled comfort. The spacious suite offered a gas-lit fireplace, and made the entire room feel "cozy". The roomy bathroom, with its lovely slipper tub and two-person shower stall was furnished with incredibly soft towels and bathrobes. After getting a wonderful night's sleep, our breakfast was cheerfully delivered to us and, upon closer inspection, resembled a small feast. "Absolutely delicious and very plentiful" best describes our breakfast. Our hosts, Marc and Nita, certainly understand what travelers want and expect when staying at a B&B and they have not failed to please. No disappointments here. We've already booked a future stay for a weekend and are looking forward to returning. Kudos to you both, Marc and Nita!

This was one of the best B & B's that we had ever stayed at. The hospitality was above and beyond. Accomodations were so quaint and homey feeling. Breakfast with pancakes with homemade peach preserves and blueberries in them was the best! It was my husbands birthday and a gift for him. We thoroughly enjoyed it, especially warming ourselves by the fire. We hated to leave. I would highly recommend this B &B if you want a relaxing time.

Recently we traveled to the Oley Valley in Pa. and were delighted to find the Mill Stone Bed and Breakfast housed in a charming old stone house with modern amenities. Marc and Nita Sukenick greeted us warmly and showed us our Zackon Suite with a very comfortable king size bed, and a state of the art mattress. The bath included a tub, as well as a modern shower providing full body treatment, or a regular shower. Breakfast was a treat! Our hosts served local fruits, blueberry pancakes & sausages in the dining room while the wood stove in the living room gave out a cheerful glow. The area is a step back to a gentler time with family farms, hex signs on barns and animals grazing in the fields. We will stay there again.!
