Reid's has some of the best wines and the nicest and friendliest staff that you will find in Gettysburg! Will definitely be back in November for the strawberry wine!

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for the great review! Keep an eye on the website for your trip back in November, I am not sure if we are making strawberry wine this year, but we should have something new in the works by then.

Realizing that everyone's tastes are different, the wines at Reid's, in my opinion, are some of the best in the area. The red's are rich and flavorful. Different flavors bounce in the palette wonderfully for each different wine. The whites are clean and crisp and just as wonderful. The experience is unique in the downtown tasting room. (and is about to get better from what I hear) and the Home Farmhouse Orchard is very comfortable and relaxing. This Family Orchard & Winery has tons of experience in growing and are dedicated to making the best wines available. They also have a blast doing it! This is a must stop if you want to experience the quality of Northeast wines and how far they have come. Reid's Winery embodies the best of what can be done!

We stumbled upon the tasting room while walking around Gettysburg and decided to give it a try. The staff were very knowledgeable and the wine was great. Also, the sangria was delicious!

We stopped here after our first day at Gettysburg and ended up enjoying the stop very much! The pours were HUGE ( I think we ended up with almost two full glasses of wine,) and the wines were nice and nicely priced. The women who were working were very nice and they also had a nice selection of other items like peach butter which we ended up going home with a jar of. The house that the winery is in is Jennie Wades birthplace, the only civilian killed in the battle of Gettysburg. I would definitely make a stop here! The tastings were 5 for $5 or you could purchase a glass of wine for $5.00.

We followed the signs and found this little gem of a place. A small winery, family owned. They'll take the time to talk to you - make you feel like you're part of the family. share their stories, etc.
They also have weekend events (haven't made it there yet) ~ but it is on the list of things to do in the future.
No doubt we will visit again!
