We tried Pamela's for breakfast on a recent weekend trip to Pittsburgh based upon the reviews that it is one of the "go to" places for a morning meal. On the whole, it's a decent value for your money. You get plenty of food, so you shouldn't go home hungry. The standouts were the lyonnaise potatoes and the spicy chorizo sausage patties. If you order eggs, the aforementioned are nice accompaniments. Their "signature" crepe style pancakes (we ordered ours with fresh strawberries) were surprisingly nothing special. In fact, they were very ordinary! Perhaps a little vanilla extract or other flavoring added to the batter might help give them some distinctive flavor. This is not a place that will make you savor the memory of some culinary masterpiece. But, you can't go wrong having breakfast here if you happen to be in the area.
