Residence Inn Pittsburgh North Shore
Ranked #34 of 74 Hotels in Pittsburgh

This is a beautiful, new Residence Inn in probably the best location in Pittsburgh. You can walk just about everywhere. Be aware that the pool is incredibly small, and there is no hot tub in the pool area. One oddity with the two-bedroom suite - the king bedroom does not have a bathroom in it - you have to go into the living area to get to the bathroom. And the sink area for this bathroom is completely open to the living area. Would be very awkward if not sharing with close family members! Other than that, just a standard Residence Inn.

What a great place and great location! Right across the street from PNC Park, shuttle service to just about everywhere including The River's Casino. Great breakfast buffet, great happy hour. The staff were friendly and helpful in every way and they are pet friendly!!

My husband and I went to Pittsburgh to specifically see the PNC Baseball Park - watched the Pirates vs. Atlanta Braves. We stayed, literally across the street from the stadium - maybe 50 feet from the entrance! It was seriously one of the best stays we've ever had - they fed you (complimentary) breakfast AND heavy hor'derves for dinner...all was very good! They have a free shuttle service anywhere around town with one of the most knowledgeable and friendly drivers, Joe, we've ever met. They have a billiards room, movie room, pool, exercise room and who knows what else! We had a one bedroom suite with king bed, living room, kitchen with full fridge, dishwasher, microwave and two burner stove! All with dishes, silverware, toaster, cutting board - really, everything you could want. The ice maker worked like a charm with all the ice we needed and enough to fill our cooler when we left! The room was very, very clean and the housekeeping was excellent - even the Supervisor checked on us in the afternoon to see if we approved of the cleaning! Awesome! This is the best hotel we've been to in a long time - location was perfect, everything was clean and working, the staff was awesome - especially SIDNIE at the front desk, along with Brent (I think he's the Manager) and Joe, the Shuttle Driver. Whenever you're in Pittsburgh, especially for a PNC Park visit for the Pittsburgh Pirates, try really hard to stay at this hotel - you won't regret it. We give it a HUGE thumbs up!!!!!

Literally across the street from the stadium and walking distance to any restaurant you want downtown. There is a pool table and theatre chairs in a small room for movies and entertainment along with a nightly managers reception. If you're taking a trip to the ballpark this place is awesome.

I just love the brand overall. This is directly across the street from PNC park, convenient to the free subway and river crossings into Pittsburgh downtown. Spacious rooms, excellent complimentary breakfast buffet, and the thrice-weekly Monday-Wednesday evening social saves you the cost of dinner and drinks. Kitchens, dishes, pots and pans, and a full-size refrigerator. The shuttle service is great, and accommodating, although they don't go to the airport and I don't blame them as the airport in Pittsburgh is very remote. The parking situation is a bit cramped, but honestly you don't need a car staying here unless you're driving in. It can be on the expensive side but well worth it, but I stayed on the government rate which is reasonable for such a great property.

Room Tip: The views are better on the stadium sides, but the quiet side is opposite those. I imagine during ba...

This is one great hotel. The rooms are large; the north-facing rooms fact the Allegheny River and lots of little bridges. Parking is inexpensive at a City-run garage across the street. The lobby has a huge dome above it; the staff is extremely pleasant; lobby is great to sit in.

The price on some web sites makes it a real bargain. It is close to most downtown places, the Andy Warhol Museum, and both outdoor stadiums. As at all Marriott-managed hotels, it is spotlessly clean and very pleasant to stay in.

We came to Pittsburgh for the Pirates game and the location could not be better. It is literally right across the street. The staff was great, in particular, Alex was outstanding. She was extremely helpful, went beyond her duties to ensure that we were comfortable, arranged transportation to the zoo and the airport, and in general a very friendly cheery presence at the front desk. Breakfast is included, there is a small pool and gym, and the rooms were clean. It is located in a newly developed area and is convenient to the children's museum and the carnegie science museum. There is a lovely walkway/path hugging the shore that is very pleasant with beautiful views.

Room Tip: Try to get an odd number room - the even number face the highway and you do get the white noise from...
