“Ethnic food to try”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

The Strip was a great area to shop for fresh produce, try Polish and Italian foods, see the immigrant areas. We really enjoyed Mancin's bread and the Polish market. It wasn't New York or New Orleans, but it was a fun day looking around and talking with people. The evening bar scene looked like it kept things busy but not our scene. A church converted into a bar is rather bizarre but some people might like that. There is a beautiful Polish church there, but it wasnt open unfortunately. Worth a visit if you are in Pittsburgh!

“The Shops at the Strip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

The Strip has everything you could possibly need or want that you are unable to find in regular grocery stores. Great places to eat and just a great place to really see the diversity of people in and around the Pittsburgh area. Summertime is one of the best times to go because of all the fresh produce. Great place to visit and faily inexpensive.

“Great place to walk around shop and eat.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

The strip district is a must visit location when visiting Pittsburgh. A collection of cafes, shops and odd collection of wholesalers. Weekends are crowded but fun. Stop in for some sushi at Penn Fish, coffee at La Prima and amazing cheese at Pennsylvania Macaroni. Deluca's or Pamela's for amazing breakfasts. There is a lot to see and has a very European feel. Enjoy!

“eclectic marketplace”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

This area of Pittsburgh was originally the warehouse and produce district. It has morphed into and area that has something for everyone, whether it be shopping for ethnic groceries, fish, meat, produce or coffees. Fine dining is available on the western edge of the marketplace, and local eateries are interspersed throughout. A fun place to stroll.
