“Trails”
Reviewed 15 November 2012

All I remember that it is very quiet park it has many trails that are beutiful. I liked going in the fall when the leaves fall and you also might want to visit in the summer because it was unforgetable.

“Very noisy, not in good shape”
Reviewed 5 October 2012

We came to Pittsburgh specifically to bike some of their trails. I was really looking forward to enjoying this trail in the heart of the city, but it was not to be. First off, I encountered several sections of the south trail that were in poor shape. Trying to bike over broken concrete is no fun. It's also very noisy. And I was not interested in biking on the busy roads to get around the sections of the trail that were closed. The north side is nicer. A map is a definite help, although there are lots of signs that show the trail and indicate which bridges have separate bike/walkways to get you from one side to the other. Great views of the city, the stadiums and the river but this is not a relaxing ride.

“get a map”
Reviewed 3 September 2012 via mobile

you can get a map mailed to you by the "friends of heritage trail" . There are sections that are not connected to
each other and large sections along the highway. over all worthwhile for walking running or biking. North side
is nicer because there is less highway interference
