“Great Hotel for the cost”
Reviewed 3 July 2007

This hotel is a great value at less than $80 night. The rooms were clean that the hotel is very nice. It's about a 10 - 15 min ride by car to downtown Pittsburgh and there is a Primanti Brothers restaurant just down the road. What more could you ask for?? Oh, there is free Wi-Fi internet access which was a huge plus for us to research things to do in and around Pittsburgh. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night over Veteran' s Day weekend. The rooms are very nice/clean and well equipped with a small refrig., coffee maker, small couch, desk and chair and ironing board. The large T.V. had many channels to choose from. Front desk staff were very nice. Free hot breakfast in the morning was excellent! Scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffles, bagels, 3 different types of cereal, lots of fresh fruit, oatmeal and a couple kinds of juices (there were more items than this but these are the ones I rememeber!). The breakfast bar attendent did a great job keeping all items readily available. We ate dinner at the next door restaurant (Tonidale's Six Flames Restaurant)and had a wonderful meal and enjoyed a D.J. and some dancing in the evening. It's not a fancy place, more of a bar/restaurant type establishment but our service and quality of the food was outstanding. Lastly, this is a very busy area with many shops and a great mall (Mall at Robinson) within 1 or 2 miles! We would definately stay at this hotel again!

We stayed heve overnight for a quick but inexpensive getaway. We booked a non-smoking, jacuzzi room which was nicer than most jacuzzi rooms we have had at Comfort Inns. The jacuzzi was a two person tub with dual backrests and head pillows...very comfy. It was also elevated a bit with columns surrounding the jacuzzi area...setting it apart and giving it a little something 'extra'. The king bed was comfy. There was a sofa, refrigerator and microwave which were very convenient. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was a bit off was breakfast. The food itself was standard, hotel continental...pastries, cereal, muffins, bagels, etc. However, there were two problems. The breakfast area was very small...making it difficult when more than two people were getting their food. Also, there is only one toaster with two slots...so there is a long wait if you want to toast anything.

Overall, a nice, clean, comfortable hotel that I would recommend.

  • Liked — Nice jacuzzi room for the hotel class
  • Disliked — Small breakfast area with single, two slot toaster

It's an adequate hotel...no more.

The bed was uncomfortable. It was much too soft, it gave no support to speak of.

The shower had not water pressure so it made taking a shower rather miserable.

Free internet required a security key.

The whirlpool tubs were very nice though, my wife enjoyed this thouroughly after walking all day in Pittsburgh.

Finally, you can't get to the hotel easily due to a median in the highway.

Review would have been better but the front desk staff when I arrived (01/03/06) seemed to be interested in watching Judge Joe and text messaging on cell phone.

Hotel room was very small and I requested two double beds but received single bed room. Since it was for one night I didn't feel like fixing this problem.

The workout room had a treadmill, step machine, bicycle and television in the workout room. I used the treadmill one night.

Morning breakfast was decent - had the essentials.

No meeting rooms so the training I conducted was done in the lobby area.

Rate seemed a bit high for the facilities $84.83.

Stayed here for a high school reunion and was more than pleased. The room was clean and quiet. While the vertical blinds seemed a bit old fashioned, every aspect of the room worked properly. The front desk (all shifts) was friendly, competent and helpful. They were quite good at navigating you to where you wanted to go. I saw several airline crew members that stayed here, and that is a good testimonial.

I actually tried to stay at another Comfort Inn closer to Pittsburgh, this place was horrid. I had them call Comfort Inn at Steubenville and switch my arrangements. The Comfort Inn at Steubenville was great! They fully accomodated all of my needs and got me a great room. The town was really booked that weekend and they still got me in. I got a large suite that was newly furnished, well cleaned, and a great price. I am actually booking another stay there soon. I would recommend this place to anyone that is going to stay for a couple days. Great place...
