“Peaceful”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

We enjoyed the mausoleums and the deer there. The deer are so friendly and they had baby deer with them. They were filming a movie when we were ther so we didn't get to see it all.

“American History Review”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

What a great time we had touring this cemetery.

There are several military veterans buried here including vets from all of the major wars.

We first stopped at the office to obtain a map. The lady at the desk was very helpful. The map is very much needed to find your way around.

The grounds are well kept and maintained. The maintenance staff was helpful and very friendly.

Would recommend this stop to all who love American history!

“Just ok, not as scenic as I'd hoped”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

In the long line of historic cemeteries across the country I've visited I have to say this was just ok. There are some interesting monuments and notables buried here but overall I just wasn't wowed, however, I did enjoy the fortress looking gate house.

“This Sounds Odd.”
Reviewed 19 March 2014

I really think this place is peaceful and pretty, it's nice to just go walk around and look at all the old graves. It really is a piece of history for the city! Be respectful of course!

“Best if you can get on a tour”
Reviewed 12 March 2014

All the big Pittsburgh names are buried here. The Victorian mausoleums are something to see. If you can get on a tour (usually given by Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Society, the tour will be much more special. Lovely in the Fall with all the trees in color.
