“Overpriced for the size and scope”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

This is a small aviary ("national?"). Birds have been turned into pets, given names and expected to perform during feedings. Strong-armed into ponying up for the special raptor show. Entertaining, but given the overall ticket price, should have been included in the regular admission. Definitely a turn off to have paid a steep ticket price for a relatively small place and then be expected to donate even more for the "privilege" of interacting one-on-one with the birds. Surprised the place is certified by the Zoo professionals.

“See birds you didd not know existed.”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Quite a collection of interesting birds. Staff available everywhere for questions and info. Don't eat in their cafe, much better food in the neighborhood. It's close to the Mattress Factory so come here after that weird place.

“Awesome!”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Visited with my 4 year old and we both enjoyed it a lot. Saw multi media presentation Talons! it was fantastic! Couldn't believe they had owls, falcons, even an Eagle swoop over our heads! Beautiful, large, green house type settings for some species. Great bat exhibit, enough hands on "feed the birds" exhibits to keep people feeling involved. Never saw bald eagle so close up before- usually in zoos they are far away in tall cages away from people. Here they were in their pen but we were watching from the glass windows- magnificent!

“Lifetime Visit”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

There are few exclusive Aviaries in the nation, so if you're in the area don't miss seeing it. Hundreds of birds, including Bald Eagle and Sea Eagle. There are even sections where you get to interact with some of the birds. It is especially good during the warmer months when they hold educational shows and demonstrations outdoors.

“Visit the Tropics!”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

This was like being dropped into a rainforest! Even the most timid birds were eventually visible... a flash of color, a rush of air and they fly right past you.
