Wasn't too impressed by this hotel. Cookie cutter design, extremely small bathroom. The paint outside of our window/balcony door was peeling. Restaurant was not prepared for the amount of guests it booked this weekend and the servers were overwhelmed. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated having a fridge and tv in the room. Can't say I'd want to stay here again

Room Tip: view from any window wasn't anything spectular. The hotel is located just off the freeway so you...

My wife and I stayed one night, in a room with king size bed. Everything was clean, rooms appeared recently re-done. Ours was spacious, front desk staff was friendly and helpful (we forgot a cork screw), and there is a decent restaurant. Overall, we would stay there again.

We preferred to stay in this hotel as we got a special rate for those who are visiting the nearby (5 to 6 kms) SV Temple in Monroeville, Pittsburgh. The Hotel is located south of the happening Business road on a small hill and hence the atmosphere is quite and sober. The hotel could not seen from outside. Additionally it is pets friendly too as we had a 8 months old lab who enjoyed the stay in that place. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We took two rooms and in one we had a old tube 21" TV whereas the other one had 32" LCD TV. The breakfast was standard but the dining hall was spacious with enough tables and chairsg unlike in other hotels which are small for the same category. Front desk staff were friendly and courteous. We did not have any major issues as we enjoyed our a day's stay in that hotel.

We stayed in a room on the second floor (or third floor as they call it) with a king sized bed. The room itself was nice. Ample pillows and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of channels on the tv to choose from. Windows opened and the air/heater worked fine. No strange odours. We didn't see an elevator or ramp, so the 4 little steps to carry the luggage up to our floor might be a problem if you had mobility issues.

We had no problems with bugs or deteriorating rooms as with some of the reviews. Water pressure seemed good enough for my long hair to rinse. Never had an issue with hot water.
Yes, you could hear everything going on in the hallways, but this is a hotel afterall. Put in the ear plugs and nod off. Never heard a peep from our neighbours.

The breakfast was fairly good. Only complaint was that they only had sausage patties both days we were there. Variety in meat selection would have been good. There was scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, cereals, yogurt, fruit and waffles too.

People with us used the pool and they said it was awesome. No complaints there.

When booking, keep in mind that this hotel is off a freeway or something and not easily accessible if you aren't able to hop into a vehicle and go. No shopping or restaurants close by. Taxis don't seem to want to go there either. Other than that aspect, it was a good mini vacation.

We stayed here with our two small dogs while visiting the Pittsburgh Zoo. Very close to major attractions but up a steep hill and out of the way a bit. Was about 10-15 minutes away from the Monroeville Mall and all popular restaurants. The hotel did have some upgrades, but parts of it are in need of major refubishments and certain areas did not look clean. The pool and hot tub area was nice, but dated. This hotel was wonderful for our dogs. We had a first floor room with a sliding door (the door screen was in need of repair) that led us onto a walkway area that went back to a nice grassy area with trees. Hotel staff was very nice and allowed us to check in early since our room was ready. Free breakfast was great: waffles, eggs, sausage, toast and bagles, cereal, etc. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Request a first floor room if you are traveling with pets.

I booked this hotel in advance as it was close to Kennywood so we wouldn't have to drive home at 1 am after frightnight. We checked in quickly before going to Kennywood to find that our room on the first floor smelled terrible! My husband and kids thought it smelled like urine I think it was a high degree of mold..really bad smell. We requested a room change and they moved us up to the third floor. The staff was very nice. The new room wasn't great...old, outdated, stained carpets and should of been cleaner....but the smell was better and we decided to stay. After a long night at Kennywood, we came back and got ready for bed. I pulled back the cover to find a bedbug crawling on the sheet! I couldn't believe it. This has never happened to us. I quickly took a plastic bag out of my suitcase that I had put my shampoo bottle in and caught the bug. We all got dressed and packed up in a hurry. We went down to the check in and I showed the woman working the desk the bug and said we wanted to check out. She was very nice and apoligized and didn't charge us for the room. Needless to say we drove home. Old and outdated we could handle..but bedbugs...no way!

We were looking for a motel while in transit. This motel is a very good value, though a little isolated-about 3-4 miles from the interstate and restaurants, and about 10-15 miles from downtown Pittsburgh; there were other motels in better locations.

The motel itself was nice, clean, and quiet. It had a very good breakfast, in a restaurant-type setting (as opposed to alot of small room settings of typical CI motels), with a nice scenic view. The room was very comfortable, clean, and large, though the bathroom fixtures were corroded.

The staff was friendly and very helpful.
