We toured this as part of our trip to the Carnegie Science Center. Quite interesting to see how life was aboard a submarine. When you first enter look to your left...there is a huge torpedo! Enjoyable!

An interesting tour of a World War II submarine to view the inside and experience the cramped space filled with memorabilia of how a submarine crew would have lived and survived for up to 2 days underwater at a time, or about 2-3 months at sea. The USS Requin (type of shark) was commissioned just at the end of WWII but never saw any live action, but later was used for spying on the USSR during the ensuing Cold War. Well worth a $5 per adult fee or included in the admission price to the Science Museum.,,moored behind the Museum along the river. Nice 15-minute walk along the river from PNC Park.

This is something very different from anything else you will find in most cities. Its not to often you get a chance to tour a world war II submarine. Great piece of history, and very cool to see how 80 guys can all live together in such a small space for such long periods at a time. Good location near the football stadium, science center, and casino.

Gives you a great feel as to how cramped you would be in one of these old subs. Not for the Claustrophobic. Part of the Carnegie Science Center.

Loved our tour. Learned much about the ship and about the crews who were aboard from our great tour guide. Wonderful supplement to the Science Center.
