“Fresh and Delicious”

Locally owned Peruvian restaurant. Four daily specials; two veg and two non-veg. Get half-and-half of any combination. Also great standard menu. La Feria Salad is simple and delicious.

“Have always loved this place!”
Reviewed 21 March 2013 via mobile

If you're looking for a unique place, great food, off-the-beaten-path, unique handmade gifts, this is it! Located above Pamela's, I've eaten here a dozen times when I lived in Pittsburgh, now on a trip back with my wife, wanted her to experience it. Had almost the entire place to ourselves...very friendly staff as I remembered, awesome regional food! If you have a fussy eater who wants a huge selection this isn't the place...if you want eclectic this is a great choice!

“"A Wonderful LITTLE Spot in the 'Burgh!"”
Reviewed 6 January 2013

Hidden above Pamela's Restaurant (my favorite breakfast site), on Walnut Street in Shadyside, is La Feria. This rather small, though lovely, Peruvian restaurant is a giant treat. My wife and I have eaten there dozens of times, yet I'm surprised I never reviewed this restaurant for TripAdvisor.

Well, here goes. Prior to heading to a performance of "Flashdance" downtown, my wife and I decided to take in the wonderful flavors, scents, and ambiance of La Feria. As is common at La Feria, a location with a small menu, there are always two specials for the offering -- one with meat/chicken, the other vegetarian. You can also choose to order a sandwich or empanadas, but the specials are always something special. With these dishes, you are also treated to a salad with scrumptious dressing and rice. For a very modest price, you can be assured of having a wonderful meal -- in a sparkling atmosphere.

To add to the experience, adorning the walls and shelves of La Feria are crafts and art made by artisans from Peru. The prices are very modest and the items are quite unique.

BTW, I don't know where Pamela (yes, of Pamela's) finds them, but the young ladies who do the serving are always pleasant and on the mark.

If you live in the Pittsburgh area and you haven't yet visited La Feria, you're missing something very special. If you are visiting the 'Burgh, this is an experience you shouldn't miss.

“Love this place”
Reviewed 13 October 2012

The is truly a gem. It is peruvian cuisine, and usually has only a couple of different dishes available as specials. One vegetarian, and one with meat. There is a small sandwich menu that is always available but you really want to go for the specials. These are always very unique and delicious. You can bring your own wine, and the prices are very reasonable. Easily one of my favorites in Pittsburgh.

“nice small place on Walnut st.”
Reviewed 18 June 2012

A restaurant in a store does not promise much, but this simple
Peruvian place has very good and fresh food.
Was a fairly good surprise!
