The Inn on Negley is a superb bed and breakfast at which to stay in Pittsburgh. The Inn has charm and elegance. The innkeeper, Liz, is delightful and is so knowledgeable about restaurants and interesting things to do that travelers wouldn't find on their own. The breakfasts were brilliant, including Zucchini, Basil, and chevre omelets. The inn's location is in Shadyside, a wonderful neighborhood lined with shops and restaurants, which are all walkable from the inn. The beds were so comfortable, they lent to a great night sleep. The Inn was also beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. The staff was so willing to accommodate any needs of its guests. We recommend this inn highly and we're traveling back in the fall because we love the inn and the city of Pittsburgh itself.

My husband and I returned to this Inn for our 5 year anniversary, after spending our wedding night there in 2004. Liz, the owner, provided such specialized and sweet customer service, without being overbearing (tea offered to us on while we relaxed the patio one night at no charge). The great service began when we booked our stay, with a request that they make the same delicous apple pancakes that we remembered from our first stay. Liz and the chef were happy to accomodate this request and even arranged for us to have the same room from our wedding night. The room (the Braeburn Suite) is exquisite with a timeless feel to it. You have to love the four post bed that requires steps to get in. Breakfast was as excellent as we had hoped it to be, with outstanding coffee to boot. This place is very upscale, but not at all snobby. Very cozy.

We picked this Inn because it was located near our granddaughter. We found to our delight that the Inn is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. We were warmly greeted, and were delighted to find afternoon tea and homemade refreshments after our long trip to get there. The Inn's decor is filled with antiques, yet the rooms and facilities are up-to-date and top quality. The bed was a dream! The breakfasts were creative, delicious, and gracefully served. We left feeling that the staff were our friends. We will definitely stay there whenever we visit Pittsburgh.

Every year I travel somewhere to celebrate my birthday. This year my teenage cousin asked to tag along on my short trip to Pittsburgh. What a wonderful place we found at the Inne on Negley! We actually hugged Marcy when she presented us with the Arkansas Apple Room - it was just beautiful. Clean, comfortable and decorated just right! We stayed for three days to take in the sights and every morning enjoyed the most delicious breakfast on their fabulous deck. The Inn Keeper was super nice - giving us just the right amount of attention. Complimentary bakery and tea were wonderful in the eventing while we relaxed with our books. The only negative would be that this was my young cousins first stay at a B&B - all others after this will fail in comparison.

Located in the Shady Side section of Pittsburgh, the Inn on Negley is a fabulous find for business travelers. Each of the 8 rooms is uniquely decorated and comfortable. It is quite a relaxing place, perfect to start your day with a delicious prepared to order breakfast by the Inns renowned chefs or to end your day with a complimentary wine and pastries. The staff, Chefs, and Inn Keeper are attentive to your needs wihtout being intrusive. There is ample parking and, with breakfast included, the Inn offers great value for Pittsburgh. The Inn is a short walk from Walnut Street and Ellsworth Street which boast many fine restaurants and shops. I highly recommend the Inn whether you are going to be in Pittsburgh on business or a getaway weekend.

My husband and I have stayed here several times as I have a daughter at the University of Pittsbugh. This is an amazing inn with beautiful rooms, ( I have stayed in 3 different ones) excellent up to date bathrooms, and a wonderful breakfast. We are looking forward to yet another stay in May. It is well located and quiet.

My wife and I have stayed at the Inn on Negley several times over the past two years. The owner, Liz Sullivan, and her staff treat us as though we are part of the family. Afternoon tea, hot chocolate service, wine on the sideboard later, fantastic breakfasts, and smiles from everyone who works there. What a treat. Better than home. Excellent food, service, and peace and quiet. In a great walking neighborhood. Recommended highly: far better than cookie-cutter motels and hotels. (I wanted to move into the place, but my wife said "No.") Try it; it can be addictive.
