I have had the experience of staying at the Wyndham Hotel in Pittsburgh on two occasions. The first was the weekend it changed from a Holiday Inn to the Wyndham, and my son's wedding rehearsal dinner was scheduled for one of the smaller ballrooms. We were a little worried that the change of management would affect the quality of service there, but we worried for no reason. The dinner was delightful, served family style, and was delicious. We also had ordered a hospitality suite which was huge and had many delicious finger foods and drinks. Many relatives and friends chose to stay here, and we heard no complaints.
My second experience at the Wyndham was a year later when my husband was a patient at Presbyterian Hospital. The shuttle took me back and forth, so I left my automobile parked for the duration of my stay. The parking fee was a little pricy, but that is what happens in the middle of Oakland. The garage was lighted and accessible from the hotel itself. The bar and restaurant had limited hours, but the hotel was clean, the employees were efficient and friendly, and I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone who had business at the universities or health facilities in Oakland.
