Grand old hotel in a perfect location. Excellent place to stay if you're going to see baseball. Incredibly easy to find and get to, and right downtown. Next to some fantastic restaurants and great views. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I've stayed at other hotels in the area, and this one is much better. To start - there is a Starbucks and a Bruegger's in the lobby are of the hotel. The rooms are elegant without being stuffy. Very clean and spacious. The Omni's Select Guest program is better than other hotel chains in my experience because they actually pay attention to your requests and preferences. We actually had extra towels in the room per our Select Guest profile! The restaruants in the hotel were a little pricey, and the food we received was just OK, but I would not hesitate to stay at this property again.

The bed was very comfortable. Not to soft, not to hard, just right. Overall nice. It is an old hotel that has been updated. Clean but not spotless, still has an oldness to it, carpets, tile, furniture, etc. Expensive to eat in hotel dining room. Had breakfast buffet, food good, but not an enormous selection, for $19.00 per. You have to pay for wi-fi in your room.

We were in the city for a retirement party and wanted to stay downtown at this historic hotel. It is absolutely beautiful! Our bellhop spent some time with us giving us the history of the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and our stay was nice.

Excellent place to stay for our conference. Close walk to great places to eat and the friendliest staff I have ever experienced during a hotel stay. One example would be while driving up to the hotel to check in my car with the valet, the bellhop asked my travel plans while in town and recommended self parking in the lot across the street which saved me about $30 a day. We would stay here again if ever in Pittsburgh.

We enjoyed our one-night stay over the Easter weekend and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying at the Omni. If we were returning to Pittsburgh this would be one of our top hotels to consider, perhaps in addition to the Fairmont which is only a few blocks away.

The room -- premier double, #1513, US $192 after taxes:
• Faced 6th Street, so nothing to write home about; apparently no double rooms were available which faced the front of the hotel
• Very spacious, though almost too cavernous, would have benefited from more furniture and artwork to make it feel cozier; next time I would likely not pay extra to stay in the premier room as the bigger room wasn’t really needed for just two of us (‘deluxe’ would have been fine; but I chose the premier as it seemed to misleadingly indicate online that only the larger rooms were renovated...more on that below)
• Two comfortable double beds outfitted with neat pull-down reading lights and motion-sensor floor lights
• For storage there was one dresser with only four drawers; spacious double closet in the entryway though the number of hangers was quite sparse; closet was outfitted with two luggage valets and full-length mirrors on the outside
• Reading chair with light, and a desk area
• Bathroom was spacious, lots of counter space, decent toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, mouthwash, cotton swabs, q-tips), good hair dryer (not wall-mounted), a ceiling fan that could be turned off (!)
• Additional amenities: Laptop-sized safe, drop coffee maker, water with turndown service, decent wifi and complimentary morning beverages (perks of being a member)

Service:
• Good but average in person service – i.e. friendly but I didn’t feel like anyone was really going out of their way to help
• Upon checking in we did have some free snacks and a note from the loyalty program manager, which was a nice touch
• I filled in their online survey and provided feedback that the site information regarding the rooms seemed confusing (i.e. during the room selection process it makes it seem that only premier rooms – and not the lower rated deluxe rooms -- are renovated); received a prompt email response indicating that the site would be amended which I appreciated, though noticed that nothing has yet been changed online which is disappointing and almost makes it feel like the error is deliberate as a means to get folks to upgrade/upspend

The building & location:
• Really enjoyed spending time exploring the hotel admiring the interesting architectural details – recommend that you seek out the historical information & artifacts displayed in the lobby!
• Gym: Hidden in a room that must have been an office of apartment at one point – beautiful woodwork and fireplace; spacious and sunny, with decent equipment, towels, water cooler and headphones, though no fruit which other hotels sometimes offer
• Bruegger’s Bagels and Starbucks are conveniently attached to the lobby
• Convenient location: 5 mins drive to The Strip, 10 mins drive to Phipps Conservatory (loved the Spring Flower Show!), 10 min walk to PPG Place and Market Square (great pasta at Sienna restaurant)
• Parking: Only $5 for self-park (Saturday to Sunday morning) – best deal of the weekend!

Overall, an enjoyable stay that largely lived up to our expectations. Feel free to message me if any questions.

The Omni is a beautiful historic hotel, the rooms were spacious, very clean and the staff was great and very accommodating. It's close to Macys and the Market Square. The hotel is in the heart of it all and I would definitely stay here again.
