Extremely pleased with this place. Very pleasant staff and smooth check in a out. Nice indoor pool and close to several nice restaurants. This place was very clean and inviting. Was told that the building was 15 years old and due for a renovation. Could've fooled me. It was in excellent condition and it was obvious that someone takes pride in this property. The breakfast was just OK as most of these types of breakfasts are usually so we weren't all that fussy about it.

I recently stayed at the hotel for business/pleasure. The hotel was clean and the staff was very pleasant to deal with. In particular, the staff servicing the breakfast was incredibly accommodating and took the time to help determine whether certain items on the buffet were kosher certified (many items including the muffins were!). The housekeeping/front desk staff were also very accommodating for any request including extra towels and a cot. The entire hotel was clean and well maintained. The pool was lovely and my kids enjoyed it tremendously. There are several lakes nearby for the kids to enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding. There are also some beautiful malls a short distance away. I would definitely stay here again!

We were a group of seven couples with two adult daughters and a teen age son for our grandson's wedding. My wife and I stayed seven nights and the others stayed five or six nights. We were early for check in, but not as early as one couple with the teen. After driving all night from Chicago they arrived about 9:00 AM, and they got a room very quickly.

My first impression was the staff were very friendly and accommodating. My second was how clean the place was. We were greeted with cookies and coffee and hot chocolate. They had a list of restaurants, the closest pharmacy, the best route to Philadelphia, etc. Every request was met with a pleasant can-do attitude.

We pretty much took over their lobby/lounge on some evenings and included them in our Chinese takeout and pizzas. Other guests got our home made cookies and other treats.

We were all very happy with this property.

Room Tip: We had a handicap room which we did not need...232, and it was a little cramped for a couple. The pl...

We only stayed for one night but honestly wish our schedule had allowed for a bit longer of a stay. The location is extremely convenient and minutes away from some fun diners and restaurants. The staff was really nice and although we missed breakfast one of the staff made sure we had fresh bottled water for when we went back on the road. Really can't go wrong on the price/location.

I noticed that some other reviewers mentioned that the rooms seemed dirty - they may be renovating certain parts of the hotel because ours looked/felt very new and clean.

I stayed here as a stopover during a long drive from New England. The main attraction was the location near the Pa. Turnpike exit.

The pros and cons for my stay at the Holiday Inn Quakertown are these:

PROS
- only minutes away from the turnpike on-ramp--- easy to get back on the road very quickly;
- priced below several nearby hotels and offered a good value for the price;
- very good free breakfast with a range of hot and cold options--- better than many Hampton Inn breakfasts;
- comfortable bed;
- refrigerator and microwave in room; refrigerator slightly larger than the usual hotel offering;
- full-length mirror with a light--- something that is rarely found even in more expensive hotels;
- good wi-fi;
- lots of inexpensive food options nearby.
CONS
- the hotel could use more TLC in terms of maintenance; there were noticeable stains on both the chairs and the ottoman in my room.
- there was a blackout curtain but it was not hung up correctly so it was not really blocking out the light at all;
- there were stains on the carpet in the hallway and in my room;
- upon entering, the room had an unpleasant smell, possibly some type of cleaning solvent or odor neutralizer.

Overall, the hotel met my needs for this trip, and I would return if traveling through the area again.

Room Tip: I stayed on the side facing the turnpike and did not notice any significant noise.

It was a complete nightmare!
We asked for just a couple of extra blankets and sheets.
The front desk clerk refused to give it. We could not believe it.
The lady who worked said it was illegal for 4 kids to stay in one room.
My wife, my self, two kids and one infant and one baby. Yes, it was many, but the front desk did not mention anything at the time of check-in. They saw we were many and did not care. In fact, I never had a problem with any other hotels with 4 kids in our past.

The front desk lady who worked around 9 pm on Sunday treated us like criminals.
She insisted it was illegal for 4 kids to stay and refused to give extra blankets, and she said she was going to call a police. In fact, she started to call a police right in front of me. I had to beg her not to call a police. They must have workers with philological problems.
The night, my wife and our kids were just worried, if we would be kicked out of the hotel in the middle of the night, or police may knock on our room door any moment. I could not sleep. My ulcer started to sore. It was a most miserable holiday we ever had.

We stayed her as an en route point to break up a long drive. It is right at a branch of the Penn Turnpike. The bed was nice and TV OK. The sofa in the room was ripped. We had an unusual amount of trouble with their wifi, which at times did not work, and was very slow when it did. If you stay here there is a terrific restaurant about 10 miles away in Perkasie called the Perk. Superb food, modest prices.
