Met friends for dinner at the Knights Pub. We sat at the bar to wait for our table. Our friends arrived 15 minutes before us. The bartenders would not make eye contact or wait on them until they asked they actually yelled at them. The same occurred when we arrived. The bartenders would take the waitresses' orders, or a manager (at least we thought he was one because he had a different shirt on) or any of the patrons who needed refills. They would not wait on new arrivals. When we finally got their attention we got - we're too busy tonight. Yes the place was full, but not as busy as we've seen it on other occasions.
We did not have a long wait for a table - about 25 minutes total. Unfortunately, our waitress must have been new because she didn't have a clue. Appetizers and entrees were brought to the wrong people, clearly empty dishes sitting at the edge of the table were not cleared after placing the entrees, she didn't come back and ask if we needed anything.
We had asked for split checks for our two couples and were told it would not be a problem. We received one check - that did explain why things were served too the wrong people - she had randomly assigned items to various people. None of us had listed exactly what we ordered. The guys decided it would be too much effort to try to have the bill corrected, so they simply split the bill.
The food was good - the Champagne Scallop Soup was creamy and bisque-like. The hummus sampler was ok. Entrees ordered were the Steak and Potato Tower, Grilled Salmon with Lobster Cream Sauce, Shrimp with Angel Hair Pasta & Spinach, and Pan Seared Salmon with Cabbage & Fennel. All were decent, except the Shrimp with Angel Hair Pasta. It just had an unidentifiable off taste.
We will give them another try, Hopefully we will have better service.
