“Great little spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 November 2011

I've been caming for well over 30yr. From camping off horse back to tent camping ,and now a Travel trailer. We have two little ones and it is nice to be able to let the kids runn. I really feal that this camp ground is great for familys of all sizes. Its not a very big camp ground at all but its big in heart from most of the staff to the amish that come by every weekend. My family and I have been going there off and on for two years and never had any problems with the staff. There great with the kids with all the activitys ( Game Rm needs Help) from spring to fall there allways some thing for the kids to dew. For the naa sayier who think camping next to a working Amish farm was going to smell like roses (go scracth).I think its amazing that people
???? Use your own jugment. There alot of camp grounds out there and we like this little one.. Camping along the creek is the best. sites could be bigger for the RVs TT but all in all great spot

Overall would be a great campground if they elliminated 25% of their sites and not be so greedy! The sites were smack dab on top of the next person and our site was on right on the road, we were facing it and all the cars and people walked right by= no privacy! Also we had campers constantly walking through our campsite so they could hang out with their friends that were behind us=no privacy again! The stench of camper waste or farm was so disgusting the first 2 nights I thought I was gonna get sick! The first night we had a mini picnic table, they brought us one and were nice about it was annoying until got us new one! The way the other campers on last row next to field were facing us and is them was ridiculous !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at the map before go and try to get a stream site behind the office, u should get wifi there and they are nice sites!!! What did we like??? We liked the pool even tho it was small and slimy, we like the grain mill, the covered bridge, the gazebo and we love the location near awesome outlets, the Amish stores etc! We like the camp store, its ridiculous they close so early, we needed fire wood and it was 7:05 and they were closed, that's crazy! We would stay here only if on the stream! Oh and the game room the games and pool table were out of order!!!!

We stay here every year with several other families, and it's always a good time! From the pool kid games, to fishing, to bingo, to peaceful campsites by the stream.

It's true it's a little campgound but the staff is friendly and great with the kids.

Read the rest of the reviews they are accurate. Cabin was nice and clean, and there is a TV, cooking utensils, which made life easier. Area is great and my kids had a very good time, there is not much in the way of activities. Pool is fine, game room needs some work. It was quiet and overall we had a very good time.

Room Tip: If not in a cabin, do not get a site in parking lot

We recently visited this campground and were not reluctant to go to this particular campground based on all the bad reviews but it was too late to turn back. The campground is in Dutch Country and is close to shopping and Lancaster attractions. The sites were small however it is a smaller campground. There were no real activities for the kids, the pool had tons of hair and grass floating around and the bath houses were dirty and outdated. The staff were friendly despite the store and office closing early on Sat night ( not good when its 100 degrees out and and you need ice every 2 hours) we camped with other family members so the campground was tolerable. We camp many times throughout the year and this was one of the worst campgrounds we've visited in a while.

We stayed in one of the cabins. It exceeded my expectations. It was very clean. Everything stated was provided, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return!

Although wifi is advertised in brochure, the reality is that it is only available at some of the campsites and their attitude is that if this is important to you , you can sit on the porch of the camp store to use it! This was upsetting and they reject the idea of warning arriving campers as to which sites are good and which are not. The store has very limited offerings and is not open in the evening. Overall, I rate them a B-.... They are this high because the area is so appealing.
