Motor Inn was comfortable, nothing fancy but I didn't mind. Rooms were clean, people VERY friendly. Would have liked a soda vending machine, but sodas are available at the front desk for purchase. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We stayed on first floor, king size bed room and it was quiet.

This motel was marginal and we refused to stay there. When we inspected the room, it was unkempt and the door lock did not function. When we asked for a refund, the manager refused to refund our prepayment.

We stayed six nights at this motel. We stayed here before and we did give it a better rating. The room that the motel gave to us was not in the main part of the motel. We were placed in
a room that was much smaller then the room we stayed in previously. To get to the room we had walk thru a dingy hallway and climb a flight of stairs that was very narrow, with a loose railing, and dirty stained wall. The room a/c had newspaper stuck in the top instead of corking, which we noticed after having to take the filter out to wash it so the air could get thru it.The window screens were falling apart, the storm window was cracked, one curtain had two large tears in it, the carpet needs to be replaced, the floor was uneven, and when you opened the drawers on the furniture they fell out!! Numerous times I had to ask for toilet paper. One day the room wasn't even cleaned. I was told that we were in the room so they couldn't clean it. We had left the room at 7:30 am and were out of the room at that point for five hours. We had stopped back for about 20 minutes and then left again for another six hours. There was no excuse for it not being cleaned. When they did clean the room (supposedly for 40 minutes) the only thing done was the bed was straightened and the towels were changed. The mirror had something splashed on it,there was built up soap scum around the faucets and the bathroom door didn't close all the way . Half of the towels were thread bare. Please understand we had requested a room change as soon as we saw the room, but according to the owner no other rooms were available, (although the vacancy sign was light every night of our stay) and he had already run the charges thru my credit card. The owner was extremely rude and very smug about the whole situation. We stayed out of the room as much as we could, only returning to sleep. Also while there were three double lights in the room only one light bulb in each worked, including in the bathroom, and on the staircase going up to the room. My advice is to stay as far away from this place as possible, no matter how nice it looks from the outside.

Room Tip: Reserve a room in the main part of the motel near the pool. Ask to see the room prior to paying.

Reserved directly with place and found great value for the money, just under $65/night. Situated on a peaceful side road between Old Philadelphia Pike (340) and Route 30, you can see the Amish buggies pass by throughout your stay which I thoroughly enjoyed. Arrived at end of June for a 5 day stay. The continental breakfast was fine on days I wanted to keep it simple and a nice way to meet other guests and families staying there. There is a variety of nearby restaurants and diners nearby as well. Can highly recommend Dienner's Country Restaurant's breakfast buffet. The room at the corner of the second floor was large and nicely equipped with small fridge and microwave and a round table with two chairs. Provided with plenty of fresh, clean towels daily. Found the double beds very comfortable and had a quiet, relaxing stay which is exactly what I wanted. Nice, cold a/c. The pool was great. Saw an Amish lady tending to the grounds and beautifully landscaped areas. Another Amish lady came by one day to sell her homemade desserts which were tasty. Felt safe and secure. The owners are very much involved and seek to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The owner recommended a Lancaster auction selling everything from farm equipment and quilts to old furniture and odds and ends that takes place yearly organized by the Amish. I went and mingled with the Amish and had a great experience. The 2nd floor hallway faces a farm with horses, one of whom had a new little colt. How precious! There is no elevator, so if traveling with someone who has mobility issues, best to request a 1st floor room. It was my first stay in Lancaster, but I plan to return and stay at Cherry Lane and would recommend it to friends and family.

Room Tip: Get a 1st floor room if unable to climb stairs. Otherwise, 2nd floor corner room 22 was great. Nice...

Had a great four days at this little motel. Love to sit out on porch drinking coffee and to watch the horse and buggy pass. Met a lot of other guests on this trip. Even a few that we have had the pleasure of seeing before. we like to hear where other people like to shop and their favorite places to eat. Love the owners like family.

We were put in room 43 which is in the old farmhouse not the motel. Room was very old and a little musty. The phone on the desk did not work and there was nowhere to even plug it in. I think this room was part of the original motel and had been used for years by the previous owners. Reported phone problem to front desk, they said they would fix it and never did. The pool area was ok but the trash can was full and had been emptied in a long time. The free breakfast had watered down orange juice, no fruit and spoiled unrefrigerated packets of cream cheese. The motel building may have better rooms but the ones in the original house are very out dated.

Room Tip: Avoid the original building where the office is. Ask for a room in the main motel.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. We came on Wednesday June 25 around 5:00, our room was ready it was on the second floor. When we went into our room it was very clean and the air conditioner was on it was cool in the room. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. They have a nice big pool which we took advantage of. There is a playground on the grounds for the kids. The best part is the peace and quiet and the amish pass by all day long. It was nice to sit outside a couple of evenings on the benches and watch them go by. We were originally booked for 4 nights but we wanted to stay and extra night. It was avaiable so we made the reservation for the extra night. Very friendly and we felt welcome! This hotel is close to everything as well with little driving. This isn't one of those fancy hotels if that is what you are looking for I would say to move on but it is a cozy little place in the amish country . The only problem we had was that we didn't want a maid service daily and we had trouble with that on our door. The staff came and checked it out though and they could not get it to work eithier so they gave us a sign to hang on the doorknob which worked just fine!! We will be back that is for sure!! My girls cried yesterday because we had to go home they wanted to stay!!
