“Out of town visitors. Fun local neighbood bar with good food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2014

A CO couple visting family in Reading and found this Trip Advisor recommended restaurant nearby. We are a couple and went for lunch on a Monday. While only few a people present, the waitress was very friendly and made several suggestions which we followed- a corn and shrimp soup and a partrami/corned beef/melted cheese Philly type sandwhich. Both were excellent and the prices very reasonable. Adding character to this neighborhood bar, was the nearby railroad tracks with several trains going by. Likely a little livelier at night with many flat TVs featuring sports.

“Good food, Great Atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 December 2013

Family owned, local restaurant, enjoyed watching College football on their flat screens and great appetizers and sandwiches. Nice place to relax and have a beer.

“Local hang out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2013

Local musicians in an open air setting makes this a fun spot to hang with friends. The food is good bar fare at very reasonable prices.

“Great Little Key West Type Place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2013

We went to the Railroad House in Sinking Springs this weekend to see Jimmy and the Parrots. What a neat little place in the middle of nowhere! They have the regular bar and restaurant in the house but outside is a Tiki Bar, open air, fans, bamboo. Real cute. The food was really good. We had Black and Blue salad and Walnut chicken salad. Very good. The boneless wings were great. They were having a Crab Fest which they have every Sunday in the summer. They looked great. Would really recommend a country drive there to eat.

“Used to be very good, now fair”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 December 2012

The Railroad House used to be a "must stop", but has changed a bit in the past year. The crab cakes used to be superb; now fair at best. Loaded Nachos were really great, but have changed and now I do not like. However Salad with tuna on top is still great!!
