We went to the French Manor after reading reviews on other websites. Getting to the French Manor was not the easiest. Our GPS took us on a rough back road, but eventually got there. The Manor is an inn, spa and restaurant in an isolated area of the Poconos. The buildings and views are fabulous. We had an early reservation and had a choice of sitting inside in the beautiful dining room or outside with the wonderful view of Pocono mountains. We sat outside. We ordered cocktails and they were excellent. Our server, I believe, was inexperienced and had some difficulty with letting us know the specials. The wine list was extensive with many good wines at reasonable prices. Home made bread was very good. I had an organic salad with ice wine vinaigrette dressing that was very good. We had hanger steaks that were well prepared and delicious. The dish also had excellent scalloped potatoes. The amount of food was sufficient so we did not have dessert. We will definitely return.

We recently had dinner at The French Manor. This is our go-to place for special occasions since it can be quite pricey but never disappoints!

We sat on the Terrace where dress is more casual than in the dining room. However, I did notice one couple in the main dining room where jackets were not worn. Maybe they relaxed their dress code due to the very hot and humid weather? Or, maybe they request jackets but are more lenient if you show up without one.

They have made a more "structured" cover for the terrace which was made of wood and much more appealing than the awning they had in the past. We were the first to arrive and were seated in a table towards the side. It was fine but a table nearer the edges gives the best view of the mountains which are covered in beautiful fresh green trees. Unfortunately, the table was in the same direction that the food exhaust was blowing towards. So, we had odors of scallops being prepared in the kitchen. I think it was strange to put us there since all the other tables were not occupied. We should have asked to move, but did not realize the problem until the cooking began and by then, well, we had our first martini!

My husband ordered the scallops (well, they smelled so good!) and I ordered the pork chop. Both dishes were delicious and I can't flaw either. The salads were fresh and well-prepared. My husband had the trout salad and I had the salad with fruit. Wonderful on a very hot evening.

Desserts were good, but not spectacular for the price. Cheesecake was light and fluffy but ordinary otherwise. The fruit linzer tart like dessert was okay. I think for $10 each, they could have at least put some type of fruit garnish on the dish.

Service was superb; food was superb; order the scallops (they ran out within the first hour); drink the very best cup of coffee ever that will keep you talking about it all week. It's a very special place for a real dinner treat. Save your pennies and you won't be disappointed!

My fiance and I stayed at the French Manor between 10/18/2013 thru 10/21/2013, and it was simply remarkable. The architecture of the French Manor's exterior and interior are out of this world. The enchanting ambiance of the dining room is a virtuoso of distinguished class and grace.

Bridget Weber and the Logan family are outstanding, and all of the staff are all stars on their own too. They are very attentive, friendly, and professional. A 5 star rating for the sensational staff.

We stayed in a Carriage House named Suite Genevieve, which was first-class and immaculate. Cleanliness is extremely important to us whenever we travel, and this room was spotless.

Another fantastic part of the stay was the hiking trail right on the property. We couldn't have picked a nicer time of the year to stay at the Manor.

Loved the salt water pool, and the gym.

Thanks everyone for a sensation experience.

When you see the photo that I have attached you'll quickly understand why I rate the French Manor so highly. We took so many photos during our stay:)
