“Nice but too noisy on first floor”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

I have stayed here several times. This particular stay was not very restful. Doors slamming, dogs barking(pet friendly)
People talking very loudly about their dogs in the hallway. Next time I will definitely request a second floor room or go somewhere else. Suggestion: keep all the pet lovers in one section.

Dear Patricia, I am very sorry that your stay was not what you have come to expect. A good and restful night sleep is what we hope to give all of our guests. Yes, we are pet friendly and we typically try to accommodate all of our pets on the first floor away from everyone else and close to an exit for quick access to the outdoor pet area. Please let us know when you get here next time that you need a quiet room and we will make sure that we get you away from any teams, family groups and especially Rufus! Again, my apologies. I hope we see you again soon for a quiet night.

A very clean and quiet hotel.

Surprisingly well looked after. Your family will be happy if you select this hotel.

The rates was also ideal. Will stay here again during the next trip.

Close to Walmart, McDonald's;other stores and Penn State University.

Normally, i don't have "very good" and "Quality Inn" in the same sentence; however, this one really does stand out. I had to opportunity to visit State College (not associated with football weekends) for personal reasons. This was really a very nice Quality Inn. They have a very nice, responsive, management. The hotel is kept up very nicely and it has a substantial (free) breakfast....(it does not have a full service restaurant, but there are lots of restaurants nearby) It's in a good location. Atherton is one of the main drags....there are a number of restaurants across the street from the hotel ...or within a few minutes walk....and shopping centers are also near to the hotel (say, within a 3-4 min drive) and it's also about 5 minutes away from Penn State. My room was clean and quiet and there was lots of available parking. The price of the room was also very reasonable. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I would be happy to go back there again.

Overall very nice place. All personnel are very nice. I have stayed here before and will again while on business.
My only complaint; was given an accessible bathroom. It was very clean, but needs paint attention. It had paint peeling on the ceiling and the one wall.

My husband and I with our dog stopped over night to visit with our granddaughters at Penn State on our way to Boston. Our room was clean and very nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. We will stop again with our little dog, on our next trip.
Thank you

We recently returned from our second visit to the Quality Inn in State College. We were there for two weeks also in January and the hotel and staff did not disappoint. The Manager, Heidi, is extremely personable and even invited us to a gathering at her house one evening. The breakfast room attendant, Nicole, even remembered that my wife liked muffins in the morning and made sure to prepare them for her. Parking is ample and always available. Even though the hotel is quite full for football week-ends, we experienced no inconveniences. Pets are usually booked in on the first floor and if there were any dogs there more than the one we saw one morning, we didn't even hear a bark. We were given a quiet room on the third floor as we had requested. The rooms are large with top cleanliness. All of the staff are friendly and the price is also right.
If you plan your stay at the Quality Inn, you won't have to look further. I might also add that the location is good, off the main drag.
