Its a good place to spend a couple of days. The food could do with some improvements, but the staff is nice and the place is clean. Cant complain too much about that. I see some people have fab ratings. And its ok. However its not a mainstream marriott or hilton. So that you know its a medium to longer term stay hotel.

Room Tip: Not on the ground floor.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night to just getaway locally for our 6 month anniversary. The hotel was very nice, clean and the room was very nice. The only suggestion I would make is to put the TV in the rooms where it's not facing the wall where the closet is. When we got there, the staff was friendly and it was a nice suprise that we were upgraded to the jacuzzi suite (though we didn't use the tub) the room was nice. Very clean. The breakfast in the morning was good and there was a nice selection to choose from.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay for your anniversary! We are continuously upgrading our breakfast to accommodate our guests and we greatly appreciate positive comments in return. Our rooms are designed specifically to keep the bedroom and business area a distance a part. The TV is designed to swivel left and right to view from either the bedroom or business area. A typical hotel in this brand. Location-just a few blocks from interstate. Friendly, courteous staff. Breakfast well-prepared. Lobby coffee pretty good unlike room coffee. (Powdered creamer in rooms). Very clean room with furniture in good condition. Beds are comfortable. Everything in room worked. Close walk to several eateries, i.e., Olive Garden & Applebees. As with all Springhills, the rooms are not fully separated by walls so do not expect a darkened room for your traveling companion. In sum, a very good night's sleep at a very good rate.

We stayed at this property the nights of May 10th and 11th to attend Penn State's law school graduation. We checked in with my sister's family and were pleased that our rooms were right across the hall from each other. Our request for a top floor room, away from the elevator was honored. I'd like to give this property an Excellent rating because most of what they did was wonderful. The desk staff were always very friendly, the room was clean, the beds were comfy, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect. The grounds are also very beautifully maintained, even having a pond with Koi in front of the hotel.
However, when we arrived in our room, we couldn't get the TV to turn on. When we left about an hour after check in, we informed the front desk attendant and she said she'd get someone up right away. We returned late that night and didn't check, as we went right to bed. The next morning we tried to turn on the TV again, and it still didn't work. We called the front desk, wondering if we were actually using the remote wrong. The attendant said that she could see that they'd requested a service, but that it hadn't been filled. We told her we'd be gone for several hours (to attend the graduation) and she said she'd get someone up to look at it while we were gone. When we returned, it still hadn't been fixed. We left for the evening, and again informed the desk attendant that the TV wasn't working. When we checked out the next day, it still hadn't been fixed. The desk attendant was very apologetic and said that she'd have the manager put some Marriott Rewards points back on our account to compensate. To date those points have not hit the account. I called once and had to leave a message for the manager. Then (and it is my fault) I kind of forgot about it until I got my recent rewards statement and they still weren't there. Not having a TV wasn't a make or break deal. We were able to watch TV in my sister's room across the hall, but it was just quite frustrating that we couldn't get it fixed. That, plus the fact that the points never hit my account, bump this from a 5 to a 4.

Very nice stay and a nice hotel in it's category. I travel a great deal for business. Little things bother me since I am in a lot of hotels in a lot of cities. I don't look for things, but sometimes issues are right in front of you. I must say...I was very pleased. The hotel looks great from the street. Shares a parking lot with Outback Steak, Hampton inn and suites, and a few other buildings. Cracker Barrel is right across the street. I like not having to get back in my car after a long travel day. Lots of shopping in the vicinity...like Target, Wegmans, kohls, etc. but that may be a bit much for a walk. Main campus is about a 6 or 7 min. Drive. This is a great area to stay. The room is typical SpringHill suites...a good thing cauz you know what to expect. Two room suite with space utilized very well. Teal and aqua colors brighten up the room. Flat screen TV swivels between the two rooms. I was happy to be able to open the window that 4 inches to let the fall breeze in. The shower water pressure was very strong...a huge plus! Room was well lit with plugs in all the right places for charges. The clock even had a phone charger but not for the newest iPhone. I did not have time for the breakfast buffet, but I did grab coffee. I like all the choices of flavored creamers. Oh, the bed was very comfy and lots of pillows are provided. I would definitely make this my "go to hotel" when traveling to this area.

We stayed last weekend for PSU's Parents' and Families' Weekend, and we were pleased with the hotel. Very clean and conveniently located. Hot tub was a warm tub on Friday night, but it was fixed on Saturday. My comment with regard to the value is skewed because the rates were hiked for the special event weekend - we paid $300/night for a regular room. Free breakfast is nice (but limited), but I simply had to write a review because of the very positive experience with the staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming - my 12-year-old daughter even commented on how nice the staff was. They won her over with the free lollipops at the check-in desk. The hotel is walking distance to Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, and Texas Roadhouse. We'll stay again.

Arrived late at night. Left early in the morning. Everything was fine. Convenient to the highway. A reasonably priced selection for those visiting Penn State. About ten minutes to the campus. Nice breakfast.
